I had the pleasure of playing my live set at the Maxa Deer Art Car at Burning Man last year. It almost felt like drifting through the cosmos on a flying sculpture. With a thumping sound system, open skies, and wild hearts all around, it was one for the books.

Ha:arp (Live) - Maxa - Burning Man 2024

As I biked into deep playa looking for the majestic glowing Maxa deer on Friday night, I kept thinking about how I found out that the reason the deer art car is a deer, is because the legend of how the Mexican tribes found peyote goes that a blue glowing deer appeared and showed them the way to the plant. 

This, of course, as it was told to me when I paid a visit to the Maxa camp a year before the 2024 Burn, after biblical rains paralyzed Black Rock City and decimated my dreams of playing on the Maxa deer… at Sunrise. 

Good things are worth the wait and as I took control of the glowing myth and spirit of the magical deer, I was surrounded by the most amazing crowd in the front, around and behind me. 

This is the musical story of that night, my last and highly proud set of Burning Man 2024. Enjoy!

Playing at Mezcal Amores was an absolute dream come true. ✨
In Mitla, one hour from Oaxaca - mountains all around, an agave field straight out of a painting, with Olivia Steele’s glowing art installations and messages scattered across the landscape like guiding stars. A lineup full of artists I deeply admire. A production that left zero wishes unfulfilled. And a crowd that felt like home.
Honestly, it was a “pinch me” moment from start to finish. I’m endlessly grateful to have been part of this year’s Oaxaca Experience.
Deborah - the biggest thank you to you and your entire team of dv experiences for bringing us all together in such a magical way and making this weekend truly unforgettable.

I will remember this forever.

After a short delay, we are finally able to present the long-awaited podcast by Niki Sadeki. A companion from the very beginning of our project.

Her deep, tribal-like sound is incredibly hypnotic. Sometimes it's even mystical. Sometimes spooky, but always a sound that makes you want to dance. Perfect for an after-hours session, in our opinion. The mix they recorded for us is excellent and bursts with creativity and a love of the little things. The first ten minutes alone are worth listening to, taking you straight into another world.

Celebrating a powerhouse of a woman: Sandy Hill.

This evening, surrounded by my favorite island gatos, was a good reminder to take things less serious and allow myself to be playful with the range of my collection.

I played 2 sets and honestly a joy to experience creativity flow through me with minimal tension.
This is the later part of the night in the cozy chill out dome providing Sandy and friends with a  juicy (not so serious) landing. 

Shoutout to @fly.on.little.wing @mosslington @veracolombo and Thomas for making this happen Sandy Hill we love you.

This was a spontaneous additional set at the Bosburcht festival in which I was able to show up without pressure, preparation or expectations. An opportunity to simply show up and share from a place of trust amongst a loving and welcoming crowd of proper ravers. As a result, it was one of my favourite sets in recent time.  Not only in terms of the musical result, but rather in how I felt during the process. To experience the level of harmony and flow amongst all beings inside the room at this tempo was truly a gift that I cherish. Thank you to the Noodle Lounge and all the beautiful creatures who joined me on this journey. See you next time Bosburcht.
