All the way from the Middle East - Israel, we enter the club at late night and hear some serious underground music moving and shaking bodies from within.

DJ/Producer (The Block/Motek Music)
Since Adi’s early days as a music journalist in the late
90's, she was always a part of Tel Aviv music, club &
party scene. Over the past decade she contributed her
part in spreading the wonder of Tel Aviv’s electronic
world as the founder and vise editor of the Israeli DJ
Mag. Her next stop was as label owner & artist
manager of “SPAM”: A pioneer indie label with deep
roots in the industry as booking agency & a home for
fresh Israeli artists & music events.

With extensive knowing of the “behind the scenes” of
the scene, Adi felt the urge to share her passion for
the dancefloor & stepped towards DJing & Music production. 5 years ago was the right time.

Adi’s versatile mix of techno, deep house & indie constantly gains support in Tel Aviv's small & hot scene, and her technic & taste gained her the best dancefloors Tel Aviv & Berlin has to offer.

Adi holds a monthly residency at the world famous “Block club” in Tel Aviv, and often plays the Deli & Bootleg clubs alongside headlining raves & Open Air parties around Israel. Lately, she also joined the first ever Israeli Burning Man Festival, as part of the “Sunrise Kingdom” camp.

It didn’t take long before Adi started producing her own music.

Her musical knowledge and skills from the early age classic piano lessons, alongside a Musicology degree in Tel Aviv University’s Music Academy, shaped her sound for releasing on Berlin Labels "BPitch Control" (with Chaim) & "Girl Scout", which was followed by an EP on "Biologic Records" and another EP on "MOTEK music”, due to be released by the end of 2014.
 So pls, being aware of this, turn up the volume, and turn off the lights.....

What a great edit it would make. It's one of my favorite Janet songs. I wish I could have seen Janet in concert back then when I was 13, but I didn't have the cash to go. REMIXES / SIN IN SPACE PT. 1 (KOMPAKT 336),
pioneering duo THE ORB receives a royal remix
treatment by PRINS THOMAS: for ALPINE DISKOMIKS /
SIN IN SPACE PT. 2, the Norwegian disco king reworked
the cut „Alpine Evening“ from The Orb’s most recent
release ALPINE (KOMPAKT 339) and infused it with his
trademark floor magic, turning the psychedelic stomper
into a well-oiled, highly energetic dance machine. It’s not
the first time that Prins Thomas revisits material from
Kompakt artists (following his excellent work on Justus
Köhncke and Vermont), but it certainly ranks among his
very best (and most propulsive) efforts to date. The main
DISKOMIKS gets backed by two versions on the flip
side: the SIMPLER TOOL FOR DJ FOOLS scratches that
string itch, while the SHORT YOGA BREAK drops the
beats altogether for extended atmospheric immersion –
a perfect way to close this round of remixes for The Orb.

As &MEs last two EPs on Keinemusik have been hitting the bulls eye of public perception immediately, his KM034 for sure will meet high expectations from DJs and crowd alike. What should one do within this sort of spotlight? Boil up the same old formula? Milk the cow? Play it safe? Well, &ME is rather going for the dont overthink it and just do whatever you like-option. Which in case of this "One On One"-EP is a collaborative effort with English singer/songwriter-enigma Fink thats letting musicality rule over functionality.
The titletrack on A comes creeping over the floor like an ash cloud. Built up on a grainy beat-pattern, having all lightness dashed out by droning bass, before Finks vocals are exorcising the ghosts of a heavy comedown. "One On One" has shaken off the facility of peaktime-consensus, before the straight kick comes in, but even that unmistakeable floor-referral is invalidated by gloomy harmonies after just a few bars. An obvious move against leadsingle-standards, but considering its omnipresent dark narrative and ultimately condensed vibe, "One On One" is without a doubt one of the strongest &ME cuts ever.
The offering on B1 might be considered as a bit more handy, but still: "Cape Coast" is rather grooving along a serious jungle-delirium than delivering easygoing beach-pleasure. A lot of hissing and chirping and rattling going on in between dense synth- and bass-layers, while live-recorded percussions are escalating into frenzy. Tribalhouse of a rather demonic breed.
Finally, Fink is stripping down the original outline of "One On One" into a sinister and subtle Dub-interpretation on B2. Blurred delays, sparse synths and occasionally implemented kick-detonations, reminding of an alarmingly lowered RHR. Meaning even wider room for his charisma breathing croon.

The next instalment on Afterlife comes from Vaal with remixes by Locked Groove and Baikal. ’Wander To Hell’ is a three track EP, with three versions of the same track that each encapsulate the spirit of Afterlife in their own individual way.

Heralding from a rock n’roll and jazz background Vaal is unperturbed by the strict rules that define & guard electronic music. ‘Wander To Hell’ is stripped back and gentle, highlighting the emotive side of the label. The combination of alluring vocals and beautiful reverberating chords along with the ebb and flow of distortion makes it a composition that grips the listener from start to finish.
Belgian talent Locked Groove seeks the dancefloor with his remix. He brings back a little familiarity, the vocal remains, but is now present amongst an assortment of synths and percussion, pushing through to darker, heavier depths.
Baikal makes multi layered electronic music simultaneously for the heart, mind and feet. His version of ‘Wander To Hell’ is truly spellbinding, featuring a hypnotic groove that glides seamlessly through a continuum of time and space.

Huge thanks to White Ocean for making one of my dreams a reality. This year was my very first Burn… And if you met me on the playa, you know how much fun I had! For those who know me well, this experience was really powerful. I discovered a new part of myself, artistically and socially. And this set at White Ocean was very special. I was supposed to play a 3 hours live set but for many reasons I wasn’t able to do so…  So I improvised a kind of hybrid set remixing and editing some tracks in live. I had never done such a thing before and it was totally insane! Right after I started a big dust storm hit the playa and we couldn't see a thing but it was unbelievable! So epic! The crowd was insane! It probably was the craziest set in my entire life! I will never forget this one. There is so much to say… Just be there.
