i thought i could try and cover this song for real this time, since the last time i did it was more or less an instrumentation swap that wasn't very faithful to the goal
i tried to use soundfonts for the first time in a very long time, meaning overall the style of this turned out very different than what i usually create, but whatever

Song that played when Cross, an experimental xenograft freed from the control of his reality-warping creator, led a two-man (technically three-man) counteroffensive against the of the forces of Gaster PRIME, a tremendous hivemind invading the OMEGA Timeline. While other, larger strike teams were deployed in other, more specific locations, Cross was tasked with one simple task - fighting through the streets to reach, attack and destroy the primary Void Nexus, pushing against the torrential pour of PRIME's thralls to cork their entry point at the source. The odds were stacked heavily against him, and he had no support besides his partner in crime, the master alchemist Epic Sans-- yet they pressed on relentlessly, their tattered SOULs burning bright against the night which fell yet darker.
