(Under the radiant embrace of the sun, with birds orchestrating a melody in the sky, Varik found himself blacked out from the world, drowned in the clutches of alcohol's numbing haze.)

* Whatever, listen, just get out of my sight. The manager wanted to speak to you anyway.

(Varik, still intoxicated and weary, stumbled into Pirkle's office)

* Hey, hey, hey! It’s me! Ex-Mayor B.H. Pirkle of Onett! But you already knew that.

* Surprised I’ve called you back up here? Don’t worry, I’m not here to get you in trouble, Varik.

* Listen, remember the incident from a couple of months back? Well, let me tell ya’, kid, you've become quite the celebrity!

* People are flocking to Twoson to see you, and because of that, my ratings are going up, up, up! Or... They were...

* Listen, kid.
* What I have to tell you is very, very important.

* Recently, an entire family was massacred.

* The victims bore stab wounds and slit throats, yet the daughter was nowhere to be found, even after an exhaustive police search.

* Some still cling to hope that the kid is alive, but personally, I think it's clear she's dead. Hyuk hyuk hyuk!

* Yet, even if she is gone, people need answers. Who were the killers? Why did they do it?

* The people are scared, Varik! They need a hero, and I need my ratings back up, up, up!

* A bounty for both the killers and the missing child was just announced, and it's quite a hefty reward. I strongly suggest you take it!

* And, well, if you don't, just remember, the deaths of innocent people will be on your hands.

Today is our friend Cacote's birthday!! We missed it last year, which is when we first wanted to put this out, but it wasn't done in time and we were too embarrassed to address that. But hey!! It's here now! Cacote is a wonderful friend and a great creator. Those of you only on Soundcloud probably don't know them very well, but all the Argenoverse peeps know Cacote is a legend, and one of the best additions to the server we have. Generally a very underrated person. The AU needed a new Asriel, and we've figured it's been a long time coming that they finally get an opportunity to shine. This should definitely come as a surprise to them. They definitely didn't figure this out months ago on account of their near-clairvoyant levels of intuition. No siree.
Uh, anyways, happy birthday! We love ya!

Welcome... to T-SPIN! A series of AUs based on Storyspin and its further-spun brethren. Follow our protagonist on the adventures they have through each AU's version of the Underground.

Once I have a more expansive plot synopsis for these AUs individually I will put them here (and in future tracks' descriptions), but for now this will have to do.

Mettaton was once King of the Underground, ruling alongside their cousin who was officially moreso the royal advisor, but he treated them like royalty just as much as he treated himself as such. He let this power get to his head a bit and started doing things that mostly benefitted himself. Nothing that'd actually put monsters in direct harm, he wasn't that stupid, but nothing that actually did anything good for them either.

One fateful day, he was overthrown by the people, exiled to the shadier part of the Underground, and the royal advisor was crowned monarch in his place.

Now Mettaton lives in the so-called slums of the Underground. He's managed to find a fairly decent space to live in, a place where he can recharge if necessary (which is very frequently the case given how much power his body drains... if only he had a more energy efficient mode) and where he can lie on the ground feeling like garbage.
