UNDERTALE: STORYSHIFT is a reimagining of Storyshift, set in a post-pacifist timeline of Undertale. Many years after Monsterkind had finally been set free, Alphys suggested to her friends that they all dress up as each other for Halloween, playing off the whole "dressing up as monsters" thing that humans were still prone to doing. A lot of them really seemed to like the idea. So much so, that a certain ghostly, theatrical entertainment robot would be inspired to write a stage play for him and his friends to perform in.

Alphys is meant to represent Napstablook. In Mettaton's retelling of the events, unlike fellow researcher Papyrus, Alphys is much more than just an archeologist. She was once the Royal Scientist, but after stressful circumstances involving one of her close friends, she decided she needed to step down, unsure if she could continue handling her responsibilities, and has instead devoted her time to helping Papyrus research the Temple.

Mad Scientist

Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS.
One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.
They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

Over the many years, humans have fallen down. All of which were different people.

Some were kind. Some were scared. Some were brave.
Some tried to fight. Some tried to run away.
Some stayed for a long, long time.

But only one set everyone free.


This is their story.
