In order to raise awareness of the needs of indigenous peoples, we are happy to be part of this great initiative and to join forces with our amazing colleagues from different parts of the world to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. 
 Indigenous peoples are inheritors and practitioners of unique cultures and ways of relating to people and the environment. They have retained social, cultural, economic, and political characteristics that are distinct from those of the dominant societies in which they live.  
 Covid-19 and its consequences are keeping the whole world on alert. For more than a year now, we have been seeing new waves of outbreaks in several countries and regions of the world. In this sense, 500 million indigenous people, in urban or rural areas of the planet are also at risk because of their social vulnerability. The risk of indigenous genocide in the midst of the pandemic is dizzying and can have serious consequences since viruses and diseases of this type have contributed to reducing the world's indigenous population over the centuries.

Thus, several podcast channels have joined forces to celebrate 'International Indigenous Peoples' Day'. This with a focus on donations for indigenous peoples affected by Covid-19 in Brazil led and managed by 'United for a Living Amazon', a volunteer movement made up of citizens and non-governmental organizations that have been working in the Amazon for decades, united for a common and urgent cause. With his first ever solo-EP - released on Tal der Verwirrung - Ninze pushes you right into what the label's name already says: a valley of confusion, where a four track journey starts.

Arcadia lets your mind wander to wherever you want to be or picks you up where you already stand, wether it'd be darkgreen meadows or lost  in outer space.

His music is for those who like to listen closely and are willing to discover various noises, where depths are lifted up by heights and sounds are whizzing around in disharmony to magically find themselves back in harmony again.

The special design of the four-tracker is what makes this EP even more an adventure.

A furious first part with a sound collage that is rich in detail and leads to a calmer second half where Ninze (@ninze) reduces the music to the essential without loosing his signature deepness and experimental sound.

After releasing on ℒaut & ℒuise(@lautundluise) and underyourskin records (@underyourskinrecords)with his other projects Ninze & Okaxy (@ninzeokaxy) and WIDE AWAKE (@wide-awake-8) it is safe to say that this solo debut at least proves equal to all previous works, making you dream away for half an hour to eventually wake you up calmly from this very exceptional mindtrip.

Podcast #29 was created specially for the Urban Cosmonaut Radioverse and consists of unreleased & mesmerizing productions, collaborations and remixes that come together in a gentle wave of beautiful melancholy.
Describing his own music as an “ear massage” that translates downtempo vibrations of love, his sound is soulful, ethnic and shamanic. Heavily influenced by the music of Nicolas Jaar and Nu, the native Peruvian started producing music at 17 upon his arrival in America in an effort to express what was inside himself when mixing wasn’t enough. 
And although his own productions touches listeners from all corners of the globe, Lemurian hasn’t forgotten his roots and regularly seeks inspiration from his mystical home of Peru. This podcast is a true expression of just that - his unique self: influenced by many cultures, driven by a sense of melancholy and bound to transcend barriers.

Somewhere, way up there in a galaxy far, far away, there was a boy floating around in space.
This boy’s head was filled with sounds so trippy, so unique and so melancholic - that when an idea came, it was unlike anything you’d ever heard before. The boy’s ears were filled with endless amounts of recycled stardust - so that whenever he put on his headphones to make music, everything he created sounded like heaven. And the boy’s mind was constantly buzzing with impulses - so that whenever he expressed himself, they came pouring out of him in the form of sublime music. To us, he is known as Ninze.
Ninze is multi-faceted, yet utterly recognisable in his style. Having first taken the music scene by storm with unique productions and famously slo-ow DJ sets alongside his 2nd half Okaxy, he has since evolved as a solo artist as well as a member of the production- and live performance trio Wide Awake. 
No matter what he does, you can always hear it: that distinct sound that makes your knees feel like jelly and your thoughts like cloudy shadows. It’s a vibe that transports you to a place in your mind, something in between diving into trippy underwater melancholia and shooting up into deep cosmic space.
It’s only fitting then that our next podcast is a live set recorded specially for the Urban Cosmic Universe. If you listen closely, you’ll notice the little shooting stars, pulling you deeper and deeper into a world you can lose yourself in with ease.

We are delighted to present the live premiere of Russian producers Geju, who composed a 100-minute live set that will send you free-falling through the Cosmic universe.

George Topuridze and Denis Kurchenko are a creative duo based in Moscow. When they aren’t hosting the Levelvda events in their hometown, the pair can be found pushing their creative forces as art directors of several projects such as Pinch, Ugolek, Severyane and Sempre.

Their music has mesmerised us from the start: 4/4 beats and free floating melodies, monotony vs. polyphony, synthesized textures and ethnic motifs all beautifully intertwined with vocals. We are taken on an emotional journey through delight and darkness, through space and time of what must be a dream or ritual. It seduces you, enchants you, and sets you free - in a whirl of smoke and spices.

3 QUESTIONS to NINZE:

Q: Talking about your selection: why did you choose these tracks? What did they mean to you in the past? 

A: I know some tracks of the set since a long time, so they are still in my home-playlist when I clean the flat for example. I added some tracks I heard recently and pitched them down - cause that is how I met the bass.

Q: How did you find your artist name NINZE and what does it mean? 

A: Well it is always hard for me to find names (also for songs or EP-name is the worst!), so me and my friend/music-partner Tom (Okaxy) tried to find a name which looks nice. The letters are matching together - but it doesn´t mean something or has a particular pronunciation. 

Q: Which festivals are you playing for this summer?

A: I am very looking forward to Fusion Festival this year and also to see some acts I would never see otherwise at MS Dockville. But there might be some smaller ones again, which are my favorite mostly.

Nevertheless there are two boys who live half a continent away and are at the same time as close to us as they could possibly be. Their history of countless performances around the globe in combination with them hosting captivating events in their hometown, they truly are two stellar figures in this movement. Wir möchten euch dazu einladen, beglückt von den Klängen durch die Wälder zu tanzen, begleitet von unserer zweiten Waldsymphonie.

Dieses Mal komponiert von Sací:
Als Freundin des Kollektivs und als Mensch mit dem gleichen Gedanken, die Musikvielfalt in Freiburg zu bewahren, freuen wir uns sehr, Sací ´s Podcast heute hier mit euch teilen zu dürfen.
Sací (Liesa) steht schon seit Jahren in Freiburg für verspielten, vielfältigen und tiefen Downbeat. Schnell wird es ihr zu langweilig, immer die gleichen Tracks zu spielen und so gibt sie sich immer wieder auf Reisen in die Musikwelt, um neue Schmuckstücke zu finden und andere Menschen damit zu beglücken.
Dieses Mal geht die Reise tief in die Wälder der Welt hinein. Die Klänge bringen uns an alle waldigen Ecken und Enden aller Hemisphären. Saci nimmt uns mit auf eine Reise durch viele Länder und Kulturen. Der Gesang leitet durch das ganze Set und lässt uns tief in andere Welten eintauchen und wird wohl bei vielen das Fernweh wecken.
Eine Vielfalt aus Verspieltheit, Träumereien, Tiefe und dann richtig Vollgas geben! Lasst euch mitnehmen auf eine wundervolle und spannende Abenteuerreise, die den Wald ganz anders und doch irgendwie vertraut erklingen lässt.
