Piotr Figiel - music producer, live act performer and dj from Krakow, Poland. Formely known for DCM and Peter Feegle projects, since 2014 Piotr performs under his own name, focusing his work mostly on techno, IDM and playing hardware based live acts. His music always has been an eclectic mixture of different influences and original sound design. Piotr’s work and remixes have been released on many Polish and international labels like Children of Tomorrow, Parabola Records, Dirty Minds or Gynoid Audio. Apart from many dj and live act club gigs, Piotr hosts Essentia Electronica” radio show at Off Radio Krakow station. Through the years the show became one of the most important promotion hubs for the local electronic music scene, artists, collectives and clubs in Krakow. Apart from the solo music activity, Piotr teams up with Dominik Gawroński, creating Krakowitz - nostalgic, synthesizer-based, melodic music project. Piotr also works as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, helping many artists to achieve the dreamed sound of their records.

Szmer is an alias of Michał Aleksiewicz that came into light by the end of 2019, but he has been active in the techno world since 2011 and since that time he took part in many events in both Poland and Worldwide (including Tresor and Suicide Circus in Berlin as The Effaith). He published many records under three aliases in the span of many years. Szmer’s tracks were released by record labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Truncate, Symbolism, Out of Place, R3volution or Prophet Recordings. Artists that inspire him the most are Planetary Assault Systems, Jeroen Search or Sterac aka Steve Rachmad.

His tracks have been recently played by Ben Sims, Insolate, Truncate, Jeroen Search, Dave Clarke, Benjamin Damage, Dax J, Developer or Abstract Division.

6AM Guest Mix: Szmer

For the first podcast of the year, we invite CONCEPTUAL. After almost a decade of producing under the duo of Beat Movement, the artist started a solo project driven by extremely visceral textures. The first output under the CONCEPTUAL was the album released on Oscar Mulero's Warm Up Recordings. His set display a similar fashion, with carefully selected tracks that can go deep or industrial, but all with a distinct sound to catch your attention. In this mix, he went for an experimental deep and tribal excursion: something we may have never heard before.

Victor Martínez se encarna detrás de su alter ego: “Error Etica”, responsable y dueño del mítico sello nacional Psychoskunk recordings, productor, ingeniero de sonido y disc-jockey. Todo un referente de la escena techno y electrónica en el norte de España.

Victor desarrolló su pasión por la música y a coleccionar vinilos desde muy niño. Comenzó a pinchar en clubes locales cuando era adolescente y también trabajó para el importador de música más
grande de España en ese momento, "Kiko Vinilo Distribution”, lo que le permitió tener acceso de primera mano a todas las novedades y promos de importación que se lanzaban.

A finales de los 90 principios del 2000, Victor actuaba regularmente en los clubs underground más exclusivos del norte de España como Mas&Mas (Pamplona), Pagoa (Oiartzun), Pravda (Vitoria),
Sala Jam (Bergara).... donde empezó a compartir cabina con los mejores Dj’s internacionales del momento.

Con una carrera que abarca 25 años, más de 30 discos editados y varios álbumes, Víctor ha desarrollado un estilo único y personal que se puede experimentar a través de sus particulares Dj
sets y Lives que exploran muchos subgéneros de la electrónica. Ha recorrido míticos clubs y festivales en todo el mundo destacando: Tresor y Suicide Circus en Berlín, Contra (Seúl), Drugstore (Belgrado), CÜRK (Praga), Lärm (Budapest), 15th Under Club (Busan) Reverb
(Londres), Detached (Leeds) Tensile (Manchester), Gamma Club (Turín), Moog (Barcelona), Cassette (Madrid) y festivales de música electrónica avanzada como Mugako (España) y Alkototabor (Hungría) por mencionar algunos...

Victor ha trabajado con numerosos sellos internacionales como: Redsonja, Tsunami, Granulart, Pole Group, Reclaim your city, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Sonntag Morgen, Sect London,
Subsist, Concerns & Pohjola.

Siempre fiel a su estilo y su filosofía Victor se ve inmerso en una evolución constante y contracorriente, bajo diferentes alias para priorizar la música y no el ego, sumergiéndose así en diferentes ámbitos de la creación audiovisual contemporánea, llevando acabo diversos trabajos muy meritorios en el campo cinematográfico, realizando bandas sonoras para documentales y la producción musical en diversos cortometrajes, trailers, anuncios publicitarios, making offs, etc....

Un tipo que se aleja de tendencias y modas, mostrando una crudeza profunda, oscura y con energía, ¡Mucha energía!

In our 60 Series we meet Sofia-based artist, Dimitar Grozev. As a regular performer at some of Sofia's well-respected techno venues, he has gained a reputation for his high-energy, atmospheric sets and infectious enthusiasm for the music. 

When not behind the decks, Dimitar spends countless hours perfecting his sound which can be characterized by pounding basslines, driving beats, and hypnotic rhythms.

He is part of the @hivemind-techno collective, which aims to connect audiophiles. The project has the mission to discover up-and-coming talents and spread their unique vibe to the community. 

We highligh his release “Synthesis” Ep releases on Hivemind and “Heretical Tendencies” Released on Khoros Records.
