Little Treat was born out of pure experimentation, ‘seeing the world with new eyes’. A funky groove in downtempo with breakbeat drums, a bit of dub, some lo-fi feel...no barriers nor labelled to one genre’s bucket.

Muratori challenges the boundaries of electronic music with a creative and sincere approach, channeling his artistic essence in the purest and most authentic way, by creating a multi-sensorial experience that build a larger narrative through music.

Reflections of Decay is a hypnotic blend of Riyoon’s signature slow, bouncy grooves and Arteriam’s expressive guitar licks, creating a laid-back yet melancholic soundscape. Written and recorded in Guatemala City during Riyoon's 2023 tour, the track reflects on how echoes of a brutal past still shape the present, with lush synths and subtle rhythms pulling listeners into a groovy, introspective trance.

Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

With a background in film scoring and a decade of refining his sound from Bogotá to Brooklyn to Mexico City, Ha:arp brings an unmistakable emotional depth to every track he touches. On Goodbye My Love, he delivers an EP rooted in the label’s signature downtempo and organic house aesthetic — but elevated through lush arrangements, raw vulnerability, and minimalist precision.

In “Goodbye My Love”, Ha.arp delivers a melancholic yet warm narrative through deep, melodic electronica — a signature ethos of the Magician On Duty label. Clocking in at just over seven minutes, the piece unfolds with grace and emotional restraint, capturing a moment of parting, not with melodrama, but with mature introspection.

The opening sets the mood: airy textures float above a gently pulsing low-end, creating a sense of suspension — like the final breath before a goodbye. The production is rich but never overdone. Spacious pads and delicate arpeggios carry the listener into an immersive ambient groove, where every detail feels intentional.

A standout quality is its subtle harmonic tension: minor-chord progressions paired with shimmering melodic layers evoke longing, but never despair. There's a cinematic quality to the phrasing — like scenes playing out in slow motion. This isn’t a track aimed at peak-time dance floors, but rather a soundtrack for reflective moments, sunrise sets, or long solo drives.

The mix is pristine. Every frequency is given its own space to breathe — from the crisp highs of the arps to the rounded, emotive basslines. The stereo imaging is lush, giving a wide, panoramic sense of depth that invites headphones or high-fidelity systems.

@LastGentlemanOnPlaya drops a mystical organic house release on his record label, @ItsGoodToBeATree, it features @Shamanic_Catharsis and includes remixes by @DrParnassus, @MiRET, and @Kermesse.

Known for his trippy style, which combines immersive atmosphere with tribal drums. Most of Last Gentleman On Playa's music has been released through his own record label, but he has also featured on other imprints, including Cosmic Awakenings.

On remix duty, Kermesse and Dr Parnassus have both previously featured on It's Good To Be A Tree, but MiRET is featuring on the imprint for the first time.

Kermesse in an Argentinian artist known for his mix of psychedelic vocals, quirky rhythms and majestic melodies. He has released music through record labels such as Kamai Music, The Magic Movement, and Lump Records.

Dr Parnassus is a shamanic producer from Bali, whose tracks are a concoction of shimmering synths and Middle-Eastern melodies sequenced into melodic grooves. He has featured on record labels ranging from Sol Selectas to Underyourskin Records.

Based in Spain, MiRET is making his first appearance on It's Good To Be A Tree, following regular releases on his own imprint [MuMa]. He has also featured his chugging downtempo style on respected outlets such as Bar 25, 3000 Grad, and Sounds of Sirin.

This September saw the release of Christian Smiths third solo album Input/Output delivered on his very own imprint, Tronic. The 11 track production embodied his message of creating real techno, with powerful percussions and melodic basslines throughout.

This December as winter draws, Christian brings us a formidable remix package with reworks from Julian Jewell, Kaiserdisco, Kenny Glasgow and Victor Ruiz.

First on the line up, is Kenny, who takes Subzero into a hypnotic zone, riding deep along a slowly building melodic hook. Pulsing bass stabs go in and out, building an atmosphere before the percussive force kicks in with authority. 

Initiate Sequence is going full force with this remix by Julian Jewell, it comes straight out the gate with a pumping beat. Searing claps push the mix amid a repetition of dark vocals. Bringing a pounding floor filler to the mix. 

Kaiserdisco delivers some low end funk with their remix of 'Explanation'. Groovy yet strong, this mix brings it all together, combining catchy synth work with the dark undertones we all love to vibrate to. 

Victor brings us his rework of 'Blast Off', and brings it he does! Crispy kick and a booming low hold down the back bone of the beat like a boss, as the thundering synth rides atop.

Christian Smith - Initiate Sequence (Julian Jeweil Remix) [Tronic]

Kicking off 2017 Sasha presents the Last Night On Earth Show 021 with an exclusive mix recorded from Warung in Brazil. Then in the second half of the show, Sasha is joined by Berlin based @Vonda7 whose debut release on the Last Night On Earth is called “Decompression". She will be dropping in to tell us about that EP, how she got into electronic music and what she’s up to in 2017.
