Energy provider and Club Heart Broken founder Malugi joins the Selected fam, delivering four aural eruptions of high voltage hysteria to a club near you. The Cologne raised and Berlin based producer has been making rounds with his fun-loving yet hard-hitting sound, supplying sonic relief in an environment that at times, tends to take itself a little too seriously. With this masterfully crafted four tracker, he showcases his multilayered approach to dance music that finds its expression most prominently in pumping kicks, groovy baselines and blissful stabs. Clearly, this is music that is devoted to the needs of the raver’s heart– all you have to do is let go and let it flow.

'With inspirations spanning from Samurai Movies of the 1950's across Hip-Hop from the 80's, to white-labelled tool-techno records and Anime from the 90's, Narciss has catapulted themself into the contemporary hard dance spotlight with a flurry of furious cuts on Lobster Theremin and 1Ø PILLS MATE, and now the German producer readies four synth-wavey bops of pop-techno and hardcore on Eurodance Inc.

Staying true to the Eurodance aesthetic, and following one of the year's most well received dance music records in DJ Heartstring’s ‘4 The People’, ‘House Of Pleasure’ displays Narciss’ love for splashes of colour amongst the usually-grey Berlin soundscape. Taking as much influence from the golden-era of trance electronics as it is the Tresor heyday, it’s gradual incline from techno to eurodance is completed on ‘Power 2 Tha People’; a cut of deep trance that touches the border of cheese whilst maintaining a headsy, underground appeal.

‘ADHDisco’ is a warped sequence of classic soul nostalgia and high speed futuristic brain-dance that plays out like an alien discovering Northern Soul for the first time, before the classic hardcore synth patterns and unrelenting kicks of ‘Lovechild (LOVE MIX)’ lay the foundation for a soulfully transcendent cut of classic Chicago and hard-house blends.'

Desire is one of the rising producer and DJ to watch. She comes back with “An Ode to Our Night” that demonstrates her genuine solar energy and introduces us to her universe infused with old school sounds yet twisted with a modern touch. The 5-track EP is imbued in acid, trance, electro, synthwave and a lot more influences which convey Desire’s rich and generous approach to music.
Only a few artists are able to carry a message throughout their music and Desire is one of them, as the moving and powerful energy that emanates from the release conveys a feeling of empowerment. Each track transports us in an ecstatic balad blending melancolic moments, dancefloor-ready beats and stroboscopic acid lines.

Entre influences acid, trance prog, synth wave, electro, et beaucoup d’autres encore, les 5 tracks de cet EP distillent une musique aussi riche que généreuse.
Rares sont les artistes qui arrivent à faire passer un message à travers leur musique, et Desire est l’une d’entre elleux. A blanket of stars littered the sky, it was clearer tonight than ever before. For many darkness brought with it fear but for her it brought peace and relief; she could finally see and hear everything around her. From her window she watched the constellations twinkle and flicker above and was reminded of how small we mere humans really were down here on earth.

We've quickly come to realise how wide the pool of talented Melbourne producers is. Spinning Around, an independent label also based out of the city, is one of the platforms helping to spread word of this further across the pond. For their next release they welcome Prizefight, whose put out a handful of self-released EPs and tracks, lands with a seven-track release that explores driving, reflective trance and techno, backed by three remixes from other Naarm producers: Sam Alfred, Cybernet and STÜM.

Inspired by a music festival at sunrise, the EP is a gorgeous arrangement of trance and techno cuts that raises the bar for the Naarm New Wave with thoughtful songwriting, immersive production and a distinctly unique sound. Touches of influence from dub and 2-step can be heard throughout the release as Prizefight tastefully utilises these elements without being obvious or overpowering. 'Feels Like Home' paints dub and future garage motifs against trance inspirations and techno formatting, creating an especially unique sound that's equal parts emotional and energetic. A low glide synth swings its weight below as rounded rimshots knock, before making way to choral vox synths that set a dark and dramatic tone.
