Our 97th podcast, and number two of the Summer Series, will be provided by the Portuguese artist CRAVO. As one of the founding members of the notorious Hayes Collective, CRAVO made quite the name for himself in the recent year with a couple of outstanding releases. Both his solo release, “Eternal Paradox EP” on Setaoc Mass’ SK_Eleven, and his co-created “Klockworks 32”, which he released together with his good friend VIL on Ben Klock’s label of the same name, shows the craft with which CRAVO shapes his tracks.

For FrenzyPodcast 097, CRAVO created a one hour mix in which he presses the pedal and does not let go. Some heavy hitting techno alternating with his signature groove, and some futuristic elements in between, characterize the sound which he expresses in this mix. Hailing from Potsdam, Germany, we welcome Rill for Podcast #247. The DJ/producer is co-head of the Berlin-based techno label MITSU2000 and @syntop_kollektiv .

With a sound deeply rooted in early 2010s techno, Rill has quickly become a standout figure thanks to his sharp track selection and highly praised productions. With a recent feature on Rødhåd’s fabric mix and a strong discography of his own, he’s shaped a distinct style of brain-melting machine wares paired with precise use of synths and FX. Proper timeless, functional techno that just works.

On #247, he nods to the stripped-back, raw energy of the early 2010s. A delicate balance between synthetic textures and mechanical drive.
