Fio Fa ( @fiofahhh )is a DJ and producer from Dublin at the helm of the Sunset Drifters 
( https://sunsetdrifters.bandcamp.com/ )imprint and co-founder of party/label Pear( @peardublin ). 

Known for his prog-laden basement anthems and euphoric selections, Fio’s work behind the desk and decks exhibits a distinctively Irish sound - a unique combination of 3 decades worth of rave past. Styles like hard house, trance, progressive house and tech house are absorbed effortlessly into his timeless productions, which simultaneously highlights his insatiable drive to uncover forgotten sounds that makes his DJ sets a crucial listen/dance. His inimitable path has garnered him considerable attention both locally and afar thanks to notable mixes for Melbourne Deepcast, Truants and Boiler Room. 

Fio debuted in 2017 with Sunday Pledge, a neat 2 tracker for the then nascent Pear label he co-runs with Jio. He subsequently went on to release two more records for his imprint, Dead Money Groove and U Drink, U Pay while making a further splash on labels Duality Trax and Radiant Records. This year, he set up his own solo imprint titled Sunset Drifters, with 4 track eponymous EP of rolling prog magic that has furthered his unique vision in the dance.

About the mix: "The percussion always rises to the top in New York. Whether it’s techno slicing through the air with fierce hi-hats, acid house rim shots that you can almost see coming out of the speakers, or a vocal anthem with a drum break longer than its radio version, NYC has always been where records with that tribal sizzle rule the dance floor. 
My mix is a selection of tracks that highlight how different genres of house can bring us together as a tribe even if they may not immediately sound like traditional tribal house music at first listen. I hope it adds a little spice to your week and a lot of joy to your weekends. "

after finding each other musically during a special Who's Susan RRFM set in het Meterhuis this summer, Axefield and mul/ANNA decided they weren't done playing their fierce yet delicate dj sets together. their jungle special at RRFM was full of bassy surprises and ventures into many other 160+ bass music songs, anthems and ballads. to this day mul/ANNA can't forget the famous 'amen break', which continues to echo in her head every minute of the day, while Axefield won't stop rewinding every song he loads up for which he's seeked professional help. 

it was during this dj identity crisis that the loving community of pos reached out with an offer: to close off after the legendary Mia Koden on the equally as legendary Krackfree Sounsystem in their community space during ADE. Both mul/ANNA and Axefield were stunned, overwhelmed with disbelief, and instantly cured of their jungle music-induced health complications. ffcourse, "yes" is what they said, and the rest is history.

Dance All Day Records is a U.S. label located in the lush forestry of the Pacific Northwest showcasing eclectic electronic music of all varieties from around the world.

The label’s long-awaited sixth release, due to drop on May 15, comes from Estonian duo Abdul Raeva, a production team consisting of artists Rashida Prime and 1309ESO.
The duo has previously released projects with Neptune Discs and Gestalt Records, and are quickly developing a sound rooted in lush, driving deep house.

The Heart to Heart EP is Abdul Raeva’s strongest and most cohesive release yet, a sign of growth and a bright future for the young duo. The music is captivating from the jump. Each of the three tracks is brimming with emotion. In its entirety, the project feels rich, heavy, and full of dub techno-influenced motifs. As “good” tech-house makes a resurgence, its style and pace has trickled into the deep house scene, and there seems to be a ton of pacey (thanks for the term Harrison) driving jams being created by artists from all corners of the globe.

It’s refreshing to hear this type of sound being championed by a U.S. label in a scene more dominated by Midwest influenced house and techno. And don’t take that as a knock on the genre, okay? I love that shit. I just love this shit too and don’t hear it as often.

Anyways, let’s get to the ACTUAL premier. Leading the B-side is the trance-inducing bomb Neon Raver. I’m getting everything I want from this track. The swing. That goddamn bassline. Those PADS, BRO. Somebody smack me in the face cause I’m zonin’ outttt man! WHAT YEAR IS IT, FAM!?

When the world re-opens, this tune is going to do serious damage to the club. It progresses so nicely towards an amazing moment at 3:31 where the slightest synth melody takes me straight into the astral plane. The original also gets a bouncier, more celestial remix from up-and-coming Melbourne based DJ & producer, DJ Life.

Abdul Raeva’s Heart To Heart EP drops on May 15th via Dance All Day’s Bandcamp. Do yourself a huge favor and grab this one. OKURRRRR.
