Emerging from Manchester’s electronic scene, Josh Burnett steps into summer with a first outing on Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings. Titled 'Jus Tryin', the three-track EP marks a milestone moment for up-and-coming talent, fusing his rolling, percussive grooves with unmistakable UK flavour and earworm R&B vocal chops. 

 “This EP was put together in early 2025 and worked heavily around catchy vocals and rolling drums. I sent ‘Jus Tryin’ over to Stacey a few days later after it was finished, and he was really keen to get this out on Blackflag. I was so pleased when Stacey asked if I wanted to sign this to Blackflag as it’s such a legendary label, run by such a great person. It’s a label I really want to push my sound out to, so it feels great to be finally getting this out. I really hope everyone enjoys the music.” - Josh Burnett. 

With a wealth of experience behind the decks as a resident and a growing reputation across the UK, Burnett has quietly built a name with track support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, wAFF, Mason Collective and more. Landing in the midst of summer, this three-tracker brings his sound to a global audience as he steps out on one of Detroit’s finest imprints.
