a friend to ease the load.
But oil will never quench him,
it poisons what he sowed.

He walks in the same old circle,
same door, the same result.
An idiot keeps repeating,
and prays the world will halt.

He builds his cage with patterns,
a prison made of doubt.
The shadow laughs behind him,
no different ending out.

Seven shadows in the mirror,
dancing where I stand.
Every mask a different actor,
every lie a broken hand.

He cries at the smallest whisper,
his eyes are wide with flame.
