Funk is a worldwide phenomenon which overtook by far US borders. Indeed, it has been played on all continents. We made a mix focused on funk coming from Africa, and because when people think of Afro funk they mostly focus on the Nigerian and Ghanaian scene, we focused mostly on French-speaking western Africa productions (Senegal / Cameroon / Ivory Coast…), that we feel too often ignored!

This mix highlights some raw gems from a culture which we would like to see more in the music world. We worked in a participative way. Funky French League DJs suggested tracks and took part in the creative process of this journey, a digest of afro-funk crafted for the dancefloor.
