A Different Heartbeat (Instrumental Dub)[ETS32]

Over the years, I released a number of obscure tracks on even more obscure labels. While working on new tracks with Annette, I went through the crates hunting for samples and found this one from 1995. "Hohner Couch" was on one of the Darmstadt Dance Compilations (CD) and on a mint-colored promo vinyl. The released version is actually a remix made by my mate Markus. I also found a more downbeat version on my hard disk and remastered it. This was rescued from a slowly molding DAT-Tape.

A Different Heartbeat

In 1994, I ran a label with Klaus Maier, called “Compiler” just for one year. We had three releases, 12 tracks altogether, all of them mostly quite (too) fast, trancy acid (i.e., hard trance).  To me, one track stood out: “Gomm” the aa track on CMP3 (as “Bauenfeind”).  It was also released as a shortened version on the “Brave New World Compilation” (DMD-CD1) featuring “Raver’s Nature” and “Love Inc” among others. All tracks released on “Compiler” were made together with Manfred Heilmann. Back then,. we recorded directly to DAT-tape, thus, the track is “made” live. We had no chance to edit or mix it later. For the lack of the equipment, we even couldn’t master. “Gomm” features a wonderful trancy MS20 and a soft TB303. This is the full version, taken from a record, since the master tapes are long lost.
