At this point I imagine a guardian (destiny) rising from the destroyed ash and rubble of the tower from a recent attack. He soon stands and observes the scene and its horrors. But the tune goes to a humorous tone ruining the moment cx

I really don't like this transition. It seems off tone or something around that

And now its too astray of the theme. Its like finding a random puppy chasing its tail in rubble and ash of a destroyed town

A while ago, I was drawing and created a character named Penumbra. He is half angel and half demon. I was inspired by the definition of the word.
Penumbra: A partial shadow, as in an eclipse, between regions of COMPLETE SHADOW AND COMPLETE ILLUMINATION.

Belonging neither to heaven nor hell, Penumbra is cursed with a timeless fate... to wander the Earth alone, unbeknownst to its inhabitants. A spiritual being, which cannot affect the physical dimension.

This is a song I worked on a couple years ago. I never finished it because my computer broke and I can't hook up my old hard drives to the computer I use now to retrieve the data because it's a different kind of computer. Thought I'd upload something for you to enjoy while I'm suffering from writer's block. x)

Penumbra's Fate

For this piece, I had a 13" tuned Thai gong (A-flat) in my lap, played as a djembe/hand drum for a great rhythmic sound, bringing out different overtones along the way. A 10" Chinese Opera gong was played with a mallet and flooded with reverb to get the melodic sounds. I also played an LP Americana String-Style Cajon as well as egg shakers, caxixi and metal castanets, and carefully worked with VST Taikos & African Djembes, Djun Djuns, bells and cymbals to create the unique percussive textures in this piece. Thanks to Steve Weiss Music for the use of these two perfectly tuned gongs!  ***This is an updated mix with re-recorded percussion and re-mixed taikos & cajon.***
