German producer Markus Homm has been keeping typically busy recently, as he's rolled out a number of dancefloor weapons for the likes of Act Natural and Colludo. Quite how he finds the time to constantly release a string of impressive releases is anyone's guess, but one thing we can state with some assurance is that he's in no mood to slow down quite yet. And a quick sample of his latest release for the rising NYC-based Unike imprint, confirms that this is no bad thing...

The 'Amor Amor' EP, then, wastes no time in coming to life thanks to the goergeous strings and the gregarious aesthetics that are so prominent in the Homm's opening gambit. As has become the producer's forte over the years, it's a track that's littered with illustrious sounds and a sophisticated edge, while it maintains just enough gumption, classiness and raw emotion to prove a hit on the floor too.

''Pathetic Appeal'' ups the ante considerably, as it showcases Homm's less melancholy but more playful edge. This time, the emphasis is squared firmly toward the stringent kicks and the subtle grooves, while the almost hidden vocal charges and the layer of unfurling alarms add their own heady sense of ambiance. ''Regines'' goes more robust and follows a- at least where Homm is concerned – a relatively straight path, with only a series of resilient chords getting in the way of its unrelenting tech-house guise. The final word goes to 8bit boss Gorge, who turns in a majestic remix of ''Pathetic Appeal'' that delves toward deep and harmonious planes in its quest to force an impression – a feat it achieves with considerable and vintage poise. Much like Homm himself, Unike's charge very much continues in auspicious fashion.

Release 001 from Unike Muzik sees Romanian artist Markus Homm step up to deliver a superb four track selection. Having first exploded onto the scene with his 2009 co-produced hit "Bis Co", the former record store owner has gone on to see his very own 'black gold' being produced on a regular basis. His music has graced the likes of Diynamic, Ostwind, Cargo Edition and Kiara, but Markus' music is most often found on the label of his spiritual home, Highgrade Records. 

"What Do They Want" finds Markus deep in thought. Lead cut "Keyframe Signal" paves the way with its wonderfully warm and uplifting vibes before the title track asks the question with its android vocals and pulsing synth stabs. "Take Off" seems to veer away from the intense exertions that its name may suggest, instead opting for a magical beetles path. Bringing the beat back is the acid-tinged laid-back grooves of the aptly titled digital exclusive cut "Lazy Feed."

At an early age Markus Homm was inspired by the sounds that kept him dancing as an early teen. The Romanian born producer has made quite the impression on electronic music since then. Producing since 2006 often alone or with his production partner and fellow Romanian, Mihai Popovichu, Homm’s sound has translated into a unique style of dance music ranging from Deep House to Tech House. Among other collaborations is The Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra, his latest live project, alongside label colleagues Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, and Dale und Daniel Dreier. The group made an amazing debut in the summer of 2010 at Watergate proving how Homm moves consistently forward and continues his playful exploration of the bond between music and body. 
With successful releases on various labels like Highgrade Records and Diynamic Music, Markus Homm’s Remixes EP on Unike Musik, follows up with 4 re-touches of his latest work for the label. New York’s Mexican Leo Leal & Guadalajara’s own Adrian Garzateam up for an international collaboration on Homm’s Key Frame. The duo’s dripping acid inspired remix reverberates dark bass sounds and pops in filtered doses of dreamy pads on top of glimmering effects. 
Next the french legend, Chris Carrier, takes over remix duties for Homm’s Keyframe Signal, a soaring infusion of polished analog sounds and spunky tech percussion. The Greek producer, turned Londoner, Alex Celler, supplies a stunning rendition of Take Off, as bumping bass and tonal toms ignite this widely deep mover and shaker. 8bit’s Carlos Sanchez polishes off the release with his take on What Do They Want, attracting fans of tougher sounds from the days of vinyl and stomping underground. 
Homm’s dedication and impact has inspired a multi faceted EP with remixes that continue this notorious producer’s legacy through a wide array of deep energy.

Carlos Sanchez - Claim and Think

After receiving large support from top tier DJs like Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex, Slam, and John Digweed, Carlos Sanchez’s Stability EP releases once more with an array of viable remixes from Unike’s impressive roster. This, their fourth release to date, is probably the biggest one yet packing in big name collaborations and remixes from the likes of DJ W!ld, Leo Leal, Marcus Homm, Terence :Terry,  and Martin Auqino.  Expect a selection of vibes carried through each mix as Sanchez’s previous work is manipulated into four outstanding marks of musical pleasure.

Starting things off in a big way, DJ W!ld is first up on the remix deck, most notable for his Cocoon and Circo Loco residencies, this superstar talent has made quite the mark in today’s market. His dark vibes and flawless swinging productions have graced labels like ViVa and Robsoul, generating tracks that are deep, dark, acid, and a little bit W!ld. Expect much of the same in his mix of Sanchez’s Claim and Think as he pours on thriving bass and light chords giving way to a scene of perfect groove and swinging percussion. Next up, already seen in past Unike releases, Marcus Homm teams up with label boss Leo Leal to give Let’s Make It Happen a proper house treatment. Frenchman Terence :Terry is the next big name to welcome to the Unike family. As a largely supported producer with tracks on Real Tone, 1trax, and 20:20 vision, Terry’s uncanny ability to provide a sophisticated deep sound has given him the keys to a largely successful career. His Waiting4theRevolution mix of Claim and Think supplies nothing short of sexy beats. Steamy atmosphere of  timeless motion carries this “revolutionary” mix into  a sloping display of smooth resonance. Reverberating pads and on point bits of blocks and claps lend hand to the mix’s overall theme of dark to bright energies.

Last but not least, Leo Leal teams up once again with another impressive talent from Unike’s bag of on hand producers. Hailing from Los Angeles, the elusive talent behind Dance Spirit makes the persons behind the music some what difficult to define.

What can be said is that the sound from one of the scene's newest monikers is nothing short of exhilarating. Their sonic scope of thumping beats, tight percussion, psychedelic and sonic colors makes Dance Spirit's music a unique and memorable experience with each beat that drops.

With obvious influences from the spectrum of dance music history their sound contains tinges of disco, house, techno and futuristic, emotional  textures that come into play with each production to give the DJ and the dance floor a vibing time. Composition, exaggerated archetypes and friendly structure make their music the pinnacle of any DJ's journey through out the night, or day.

Currently their music has been featured on Riff Raff, and Home Audio, and they have 12" EP's welcoming them into the music families of Superfreq, Deepen Sound, Unike Muzik, and Audiofly's prestigious Maison D'etre  and Supernature brands.

New-York born now Mexico-based, Unike Muzik, drops a remix package of Dance Spirit’s ‘Voyage Of The Cosmopolitan’ this March, featuring mixes from Okain, Marco Effe and Martin Aquino & Leo Leal.

Here the label pushed forward with a remix package of Dance Spirit’s ‘Voyage Of The Cosmopolitan’.

First up is an interpretation of title track, ‘Voyage Of The Cosmopolitan’, by Tsuba and Supplement Facts artist Okain. The French producer marks his signature stamp on the original number with shuffled, crunchy 909 drums, a penetrating sub-bass and gritty saw-wave tones that carry the weight of the groove.

Following is Marco Effe’s rework of ‘Party Tonight’, Effe, known for his work with the likes of Cocoon and Cecille; strips things back to a percussive-led state with a deep, raw feel. Splashy hats and ethereal pads drive the movement as subtle variations and envelope changes give off a blooming energy.

To close the release, label-head Leo Leal teams up with Martin Aquino to remix ‘Tangled In Blue’, taking things deep with a dropped-tempo, smooth mood. Off-kilter drums run alongside waves of pulsating bass and soft vocal tones hidden away in the depths of the background, while the latter stages see a dreamy arp-line and insistent ride cymbals introduced.

Following is Marco Effe’s rework of ‘Party Tonight’, Effe, known for his work with the likes of Cocoon and Cecille; strips things back to a percussive-led state with a deep, raw feel. Splashy hats and ethereal pads drive the movement as subtle variations and envelope changes give off a blooming energy.

To close the release, label-head Leo Leal teams up with Martin Aquino to remix ‘Tangled In Blue’, taking things deep with a dropped-tempo, smooth mood. Off-kilter drums run alongside waves of pulsating bass and soft vocal tones hidden away in the depths of the background, while the latter stages see a dreamy arp-line and insistent ride cymbals introduced.

The ‘Voyage Of The Cosmopolitan (Remixes)’ package is out on Unike Muzik on 01th April 2013. Track list :
