Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey currently residing in Queens, New York for the last 5 years, Uniq Being has combined hip-hop and R&B grunge soul to create music that is refreshing to the ear. Her ability to both sing soulfully and rap with ever changing flows diversifies her work and separates her from many musicians today. Uniq has performed in several rap groups, one that toured abroad to Germany and performed all over the city of Berlin.  She has worked alongside one of NYC’s largest art and hip-hop events, TheNYCGrind as a singer, songwriter, producer, studio and live engineer. Notably, Uniq assists in bringing over 500 attendees through her music and promotional work. 
	Uniq has worked on projects such as her former group Sounds Like Graffiti debut mixtape; “Elegance through Poverty” establishing herself as a voice for the people. In September 2017, Uniq will be releasing her first independently financed project called “Features.” The project aims to create conversation with her listeners about the idea of diversity and touches deeply on subjects such as police brutality and events such as the election. Uniq will also be headlining TheNYCGrinds’ summer concerts, and attending many open mics in the NY/NJ area.
