The release kicks off with "Circulate", a piece of epic melodic techno that works in a highly artistic fashion. A skilful composition with lots of musical changes and last but not least a breathtaking arrangement!
Changing perspectives from melodic lush to forceful emotional outbreaks, its constant "up and down" makes this a rollercoaster of a track. Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Abendpfauenauge (Smerinthus ocellata)
Das Abendpfauenauge verdankt seinen Namen der markanten Augenzeichnung auf den Hinterflügeln. Die rindenfarbenen Vorderflügel bieten eine perfekte Tarnung, wenn es tagsüber an Baumstämmen ruht. Bei einer Störung zieht es die Vorderflügel ruckartig nach oben. Der Falter gibt nun das Erscheinungsbild eines Gesichtes ab, das den Störenfried plötzlich anstarrt. Durch schaukelndes Vor- und Zurückbewegen des Körpers wird diese bedrohliche Wirkung noch verstärkt.

Eyed hawkmoth (Smerinthus ocellata)
The Eyed hawkmoth owes its name to the distinctive eye drawing on its hind wings. The bark-colored forewings provide perfect camouflage when resting on tree trunks during the day. In case of a disturbance, it pulls the forewings up jerkily. The moth now gives off the appearance of a face that suddenly stares at the troublemaker. Forward and backward swinging movements of the body intensify this threatening effect.


Oleanderschwärmer (Daphnis nerii)
Der Oleanderschwärmer ist mit seiner unglaublichen Farbenpracht ein Sinnbild tropischer Schönheit. Als Wanderfalter fliegt er selten auch in unsere Gefilde ein. Mit einer Spannweite von bis zu 13 Zentimetern ist er ein wahrer „Jumbo“. Sein Flugstil ähnelt dem von Kolibris. Er erreicht dabei Geschwindigkeiten von 50 km/h. Sein Saugrüssel, mit dem er an Blüten Nektar tankt, wird so lang wie sein Körper.

Oleander hawkmoth (Daphnis nerii)
With its incredible colors, the Oleander hawkmoth is a symbol of tropical beauty. It rarely flies into our fields as a migratory butterfly. With a wingspan of up to 13 centimeters, it is a true "Jumbo". Its flying style is similar to that of hummingbirds. It reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h. Its proboscis, the tubular mouthpart used for feeding on the nectar of flowers, becomes as long as its body.
