Inspired by Dave Angel sets, Remix causes focused up-tempo moving by its shortened loops and straightforwardness. Bass is strong, percussions are clean and whistling like sober morning.

Wait. You say you've heard some of these tracks before? Yes, maybe you did. But don't forget that Unit 21 didn't earn a penny for any of these. Musically Suburbs And Borderlines shows a wide range of techno colours. Ann Arbor is funky and housey, London is slightly garage-flavoured, Windsor is minimal and hypnotic, The Hague is on experimental side, Romford is direct and tribal, and Berlin is surely a dub one. But there is also a word «borderline», that characterizes this mini-album as unique style-blended work, constructed with experience and passion.

Nice dubby impact from 2006. Quiet, minimal, and structured tracks, which can be treated as transitional, background, or DJ tools.
 
Feel Me, Feel Me sounds the most «busy» with its synthesizer pads, clicks, looped bassline, and reversed drum samples. The «dub» version omits almost everything, leaving only dimly pulsing chords and bassy drone. Ditto and Ctrl sounds more danceable thanks to very low rumbling basslines and short loops.

[U21R07] Unit 21 - 01 - Feel Me, Feel Me

One of the very first remixes by Unit 21 resulted in acquaintance and further relationship with Sleepy Town Manufacture. Remix had stated the musical vector of the project for the next 2-3 years — slow-moving, dark, uncompromised techno with extreme FXs and lots of reverberation. In this track one can heard also electro, hip hop, breaks, ambient, all rolled together. Very impressive.

The original version of the track Ponylove had been listed in Play Me While album (2005) by Sleepy Town Manufacture.

Deeper to the fades of synthesizer's pulse, falling off into low-frequent abyss. Plastikman meets Basic Channel? Looks like it. Short vocal phrases, acoustic percussion fragments, ocean of reverberation, and monotonous bassdrum. Groove!

These infectious tracks belong to different periods, but they are united under one black flag. Theory one draws the limits, theory two makes a jump, theory three reveals the motive.

Unit 21 - Theory Two

The mood of this pushing techno track can be felt first of all by those, who going to spend New Year's Eve on a safari in Africa. Or in the past, hunting after dinosaurs. At first we'll make a proper ambush, hide, and... Here it is! But what is it? It's not a tyrannosaurus at all, but the best improvised keyboard performance by Stanislav Vdovin, who was haunted by the spirit of Bud Powell on Xmas. A must have.
