Music with a message and for community. That's what United Vibrations has brought to the table their entire career. Various writers and reviewers have tried their best to categorize the sound of London's United Vibrations using terms like Afrobeat or jazz. However, this unique group may be best described by the feelings their music instills instead of through a genre classification. Call it spiritual, or call it vibrations, for that matter. Vibrations for the sound waves produced by their instruments and voices as well as for the emotions that it stirs from within. United Vibrations: The Myth of the Golden Ratio

Soundway's at it again! This time with a brand new album from South London's Huw Bennet under his newly established Susso alias. The New Keira LP features music which is inspired by (and directly samples) the magnificent sounds of the Mandinka people, which he recorded during a recent trip to Gambia.

The tracks are composed entirely from original source material, field recordings and Huw’s talents as a multi-instrumentalist; performing tuned percussion from the region including the Mandinka Balafon, Kutiringding drum, as well as drawing on his skill as a professional upright / electric bassist. One of the tracks which best exemplifies his contemporary electronic sound, whilst still paying homage to a traditional Gambian aesthetic has to be Ansumana. It's definitely been a shop favourite ever since the good guys at Soundway sent it over and we can't wait to get our hands on this beautiful release when it arrives next month. To those used to the existing systems of genre and style classification in use
 today,you are going to have to view this band differently. Their music is 12tone.
 A multi-synthesis of Rock, Afro Beat, Punk, Funk, Hip-Hop, Drum 'n' Bass, Jazz
 and much much more, UV playa unique dance music that draws on the rhythms 
of the world to form a highly infectious sound that knows no boundaries.Together 
with fellow musicians from London, they havefounded the record label 12tone C.I.C, 
with the aim of using music to promote and finance building a self-sufficient, carbon 
negative housing co-op in London. Released in December to coincide with the winter 
solstice, RA!is a celebration of the Sun and the solar energy it provides earth every day. 
The track is also dedicated to Sun Ra, the legendary musician and philosopher."
