Labour Day’s all about taking it easy
One last summer weekend

For nurses, though, it’s one of the busiest times of the year.

On the Labour Day weekend, Alberta’s Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses will see a surge of health issues and emergencies. 

For your families’ sakes, we urge everyone to play safe when they play hard.

If you need us, we’ll be there, ready to help.

We’re the United Nurses of Alberta, 30,000 strong, and we wish you a safe and happy Labour Day weekend.

This Nurses Week, let’s take a moment to celebrate and thank Alberta’s nurses. Their dedication and compassion makes a difference in patients lives everyday

Let’s also remember the importance of safe staffing. 

Safe staffing isn’t just about numbers. It’s about ensuring the best possible care and outcomes.

It’s about standing with patients, families, and the frontline workers who tirelessly care for us. Together, we can build a stronger, fairer public health care system where patients, not profit, is the priority.

UNA’s campaign launched in early March, and you’ll see and hear our messages across the province – on billboards, transit, in airports, on TV, social media, and radio stations.
