The Legend Behind Krishna and Kaliya

This set is inspired by one of the most powerful moments in Krishna’s early life-the defeat of Kaliya, the venomous multi-headed serpent who poisoned the sacred waters of the Yamuna. According to ancient lore, Kaliya’s toxic presence brought fear, sickness, and chaos to the people of Vrindavan. No bird flew over the river, no animal drank from it, and no human dared to go near.

When Krishna, still a young boy, saw his community suffering, he leapt into the river and confronted the serpent. Kaliya attacked with all his might, but Krishna rose above the chaos, dancing effortlessly on the serpent’s many heads. His divine steps subdued Kaliya without killing him, transforming destruction into harmony. Through grace, courage, and cosmic rhythm, Krishna forced Kaliya to leave the Yamuna and restore peace to the land.

This story isn’t just mythology, it’s a symbol of overcoming darkness with light, turning poison into peace, and meeting chaos with divine rhythm. Tried to show these emotions through the set; the pulse of Krishna’s dance, the intensity of the serpent’s fury, and the moment the world breathes again.

♦ OUR STORY:
– In the years 2018-2024, we carried out 6 editions of the festival in Poland and 2 editions (Teaser and Afterparty) in cooperation with Art of the Heart crew in Israel.
– We organized the 3rd edition in 2020 spontaneously completed the preparations in just 3 weeks (as one of the few festivals in Europe) taking advantage of the removal of pandemic restrictions
– The first work on the 2024 edition began in 2019 (5 years in the making), and it was intended from the very beginning to present participants with a completely different dimension of audio/visual experience, unseen anywhere before.
– Polish editions took place in 4 different locations.
– Apart from the first edition addressed to the Polish audience, approximately 80-90% of the guests came from all over the world, which gave Unity the rank of an international event, never seen before in our country.
– During 6 national editions, we organized 6 different music label nights (Painted Chaos,@minutelessrecordings , @postmodernmusic.pmm , @labyrinthinecrew , @anomalistic_records , @geometric_corruption )
– 139 projects from 22 different countries performed at our events ( 10 from outside Europe) including 8 worldwide debuts
– We had the opportunity to test 5 different soundsystems (F1 & Funktion1 EVO @soundsupportpro__ , Huracan Acoustic @sednaultrasonicsoundsystem , Lambda Labs QX-3 & TX-3 @kollektivtontechnik )
– All editions ended with a financial loss to a greater or lesser extent (the total amount invested in the project was approximately EUR 70,000)
– This year’s edition and its attendance showed that within just 6 years it was possible to create a completely new community in the field of psychedelic music from scratch, and an unusual concept based on the repertoire from the freshest subgenre of psychedelic music (to put it simply – 100% EXPERIMENTAL) is slowly becoming a new trend among festivals worldwide.
