'Agnosia Black continues a strong start to the year with a new single from label boss DJ Choopie and Golan Zocher. The former, based in Israel, lays claim to over two decades of production work and releases via long-standing imprints such as Bedrock and Yoshitoshi. Meanwhile, Colombian born, Israel based artist Golan Zocher has enjoyed similar success across his five-year career, landing releases via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Beatfreak and Clubsonica Records. The latest release from Higher States finds label boss Roger Martinez back in the spotlight with a new EP. With a career now spanning well over a decade, the Dutch artist’s transcendent style has long been a favourite of the world’s top DJs. Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sasha have all been steadfast supporters over the years and remain as progressive music continues to evolve. The genre’s most highly regarded imprints have also served as landing spots for Roger’s hypnotizing sounds, with Lost & Found, Replug and Sudbeat sitting prominently on his resume. More recent outings via Days Like Nights and meanwhile have also delighted fans and tastemakers, ultimately leading Roger back to his comfortable home of Higher States with ‘Euphoria / Love Sphere’.

Beginning with ‘Euphoria’ Roger flexes his free thinking muscles and crafts a fantastical journey across a vivid electronic cosmos. Shot in high-definition and full of detail and idiosyncrasies, Roger reaffirms his instinctive ability to tip a dancefloor over the edge, planting multiple explosions of serotonin through spectral synths, haunting chord stabs and wispy effects, before confidently melting down into a stylish interlude. The inevitable zenith of this joyous excursion mounts with shape-shifting layers and charming melodies converging, achieving a rich, enticing timbre over a bed of pulsating beats and fascinating percussion.

The companion piece ‘Love Sphere’ impresses further with its buoyant energy and vivacious storyboard. Warm, full and incredibly fluid, it’s capsizing groove and rhythmic pulses are transcendent, building momentum as hazy melodies delight with their fuzzy charm. Expediting the journey are layers of mesmerizing percussion and trailing effects, uniting for a hypnotizing drawl leading into a cosmic break, which ultimately preludes a groove-centric finish. With some of progressive music’s most memorable tracks already sitting on Roger’s resume, ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Love Sphere’ once again follow suit, landing with style and emotion, setting the course for one of the summer seasons most in demand releases. Spring 2021 saw french producer / dj Marcan Liav release his acclaimed debut long-player "Sanctuary" and now just over a year later after much hard work behind the scenes we are proud present the first of four Sanctuary: Remixed EP's.

Remixed I see's five tracks from the album reworked by a stellar cast. Kicking things off is "Short Life" from Italian producer Sasha Carassi who has graced high calibre labels throughout his career including Bedrock, Drumcode, Diynamic, Knee Deep In Sound, ATLANT, KATERMUKKE, Sincopat, Selador and Renaissance to name a few.

"Oucha" receives the attention of the dynamic duo Nick Warren x Nicolas Rada put their stamp on the track, Nick of course needs no introduction as he is a bonafide legend with a career mostly spent at the forefront of club culture: he packs clubs and arenas worldwide from London to Buenos Aires to Burning Man, transfixing dancefloors with his distinctively forward blend of credible progressive sounds, deeper tunes, atmospheric layers and any other grooves he deems appropriate for his turntable. He is of course also one half of the legendary double act Way Out West. His remix alongside Argentinian star Nicolas Rada reflects both their dj and production styles perfectly. Nicolas has built up a strong reputation in his own right as a producer and dj. With Nick he has produced from labels such as Get Physical, The Soundgarden (Nick Warren's imprint), Happy Camper, and Manjumasi amongst others.

A regular fixture on the label Darkersound drops his treatment of the track "Bloody Heart". He's graced Stripped with some very accomplished works since his debut label debut in the summer of 2020.

Canadian duo Savage and SHē enhance their ever growing reputation with another accomplished remix this time for the track "Quantique". The duo have just had major success this year already with a collaborative EP on Crosstown Rebels w/ Made by Pete.

The fifth and final track rounding things off, we welcome Eric Volta who has taken on the track "Mister O". Eric who's eclectic style has seen him feature on labels such as All Day I Dream, No.19, Mobilee, Warung. A fitting track to round off this first of four Remix EP's.

After that the Soundgarden's Oliver & Tom's Nerea is a percussive house number with loose toms and an open-air magic, Julian Nates of Hope Recordings keeps it deep and driving and the young prodigy of Hernan Cattaneo fame Hector Cortes & Jaime Garza - Horizonz steps it up a little more more frazzled synths and rubbery drums.

The second half takes in more stylish house sounds from Arnold T & Alain Pauwels, Apollo Jr & Deviu - Oddity brings some rich melodic patterns that wash over you in waves as the breakbeats dance below, and Santi Cebrero and Sudbeat's Dabeat lock you into hypnotic house rollers. The final trio from the seasoned André Moret & NAHS (The Soundgarden), RIGOONI (Anjunadeep) and Lucas Rossi (Hoomidas / Dreamers) round out in classy and inventive house style with plenty of airy and organic feelings.

This is a vital new collection from this soulful new label - certainly one to watch!'
