I originally made this track to play on my Rinse show with Razor (the MC) as an instrumental for him to bar over. However, since then, it has received a lot of support from the wider Scuffed Recordings and No Edits family, so I thought I would release it out into the world for you all to play and enjoy as you like.

In 2020, Phasmid released his debut single ‘Shunned’ on Gimme A Break’s We Are Viable compilation, raising funds to support Leeds-based MAP Charity. Five years on, the eclectic DJ and producer has announced that his debut physical EP will be released via GAB on March 7th 2025.

On the A-side, the title track kickstarts the EP with a clinical electro breakbeat workout. While rooted in the production style of contemporaries such as Aloka and Client 03, Phasmid pays homage to the UK dance lineage, sampling Baraka’s 1995 Jungle single ‘I’ll Be There’.

Yoofee sent me "Arrival" shortly after the release of his "Visualize EP" on TTE and i played it in nearly all my DJ sets. The first drop hits you directly after the intro and can be a bit tricky in the mix but who said DJing should be easy? Of course Yoofee is always developing his production standards and therefore he was a bit shocked that i had to play the tune at this quality the whole time. ;) He polished it into a 110% better VIP version after i signed it for the compilation and i am sure you'll agree that it is one of his best works yet!
