I really wanted it to sound like a summer peak-time mix but also a journey that you could get lost in with headphones, and of course, wanted it to flow as smoothly as possible. I included music mostly from artists I’m really excited about or inspired by, a bunch of forthcoming stuff on my label and a handful of new discoveries, but I’m very happy with how the mix flows and I hope it connects with some people. Alex Frosell, better known as DJ ADHD, delivers an hour of trademark, off-kilter gems for number 34 in the Junction 2 Mix series. 

From his roots in the UK dubstep scene as part of the DEEP MEDI family to his most recent repositioning as DJ ADHD, Alex has carved out a distinguished sound that blurs the lines between techno and UK bass music. Last year’s standout debut EP release on Pretty Weird saw support from artists such as Four Tet, Floating Points, Caribou, Giant Swan and Special Request and he’s continued his prolific output into 2022 with dancefloor tested releases with Nikki Nair, Villager and Chloé Robinson.

In the run up to my return to Fabric this weekend, the club have kindly released the audio of my 2015 FABRICLIVE CD for free streaming on soundcloud (The first time it’s been available on any streaming platforms in any form)

The aim with the CD was to create a mix that you could return to & even though its almost eight years old (!) I feel that it still holds it own today 😋

Twelve of the twenty seven tracks were made specifically for the CD and still only exist on this mix (See each track with a * in the tracklist below)
