An artist with innate musical sensibility, Ioan Gamboa's indisputable talent once again comes to the fore. With a rare and opulent physical offering of twin-CD and double vinyl on his own Madberlin imprint, Particles is honoured to represent the digital incarnation of Gamboa's "Multiverse".

Straddling musical genres and with his unique and sublime sonic architecture, Ioan Gamboa continues to thrill, amaze and delight in equal measure. Of Spanish heritage, but settling in Europe's underground dance capital, the Berlin resident has been at the vanguard of all that is innovative and fresh. With his distinctive sound courting support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed and Henry Saiz, Gamboa's work has found itself allied to the underground industry's finest imprints since the "Spiral/Hope" EP hit Cattaneo's Sudbeat in February 2011 with a remix from the icon himself alongside fellow Argentineans, SoundExile.

Going on to feature on Somebody's Story, Replug and Stripped Recordings, Ioan Gamboa has remixed and been remixed by such leading industry figures as Ian O'Donovan, Stas Drive and techno legend, Oliver Lieb. Moreover, since an appearance on the "Spring Particles 2012" compilation, Gamboa has amassed almost half-a-century of production credits for the label. Centred around such ground-breaking releases as the 2013 Game of Thrones inspired, "Sparkles" EP and May 2014 "Vibrations" album, Ioan Gamboa has continued to chart an impressive and scintillating voyage with the label.

Now returning with original music for the first time since October 2014, Particles is honoured to release the digital version of "Multiverse". A full-length album of ambitious scope and depth, the techno masterpiece is represented by ten tracks of melodic and rhythmic brilliance. Shimmering arpeggios and motifs meander across "The Julia Set" opener in dance-floor dynamism, while "Amalthea" and the title track continue the melodic themes with their common tropes.

The darker more sinister sounding "Chasing the Sun" delights with twinkling keys, while the hypnotic groove of "Parallels" and the wonderful melodic techno brilliance of "Solar Wind" supply moments that Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin would be proud of. Full of rich and deep analogue sounds, "Hilbert Space", "White Hole" and "Yotta" thrill with their widespread landscapes while the elegant prosody between rhythm and melody provides a constant theme across the ninety-minute journey through Ioan Gamboa's sonic soul.

A work of unique skill, craft and technique, Ioan Gamboa is extremely well represented across the "Multiverse".

Juicebox Music's 37th release sees Thomas Koch (aka Tantum), a Karlsruhe (Germany) based talent, come back for another original release. He made his debut with us back in early 2019 through a 3-track EP, featuring "Ashen", "Microtonal" and "Sekundenschlaf". Within a short span of time, Tantum quickly grabbed the attention of some well renowned labels, namely Einmusika's sister imprint 'EIN2', Steve Bug's 'Poker Flat Recordings', Superflu's 'Monaberry' as well as the progressive imprints - 'Mango Alley' and 'Lowbit Records'. He also dabbled in a few remixes for Sides and MKLY's "Mauro" on 'Songspire Records', MXV's "Einrude" on Ziger's 'Eat My Hat Music' and more recently, his return to our imprint with a remix of Eric Lune's "Tantra".

With no signs of slowing down, Tantum fires up all cylinders and delivers "Bismuth" and "Phosphor" for his much awaited follow-up EP on Juicebox Music. Whether it's the more driving approach in "Bismuth" or the more emotive approach in "Phosphor", his 'minimal-but-effectively-large' ideology, along with his attention to detail in sound-design, comes across so effortlessly in these two powerful dancefloor-ready pieces.
