When I wrote and composed “I’m Yours” it was an incredible feeling of creative nirvana. From the saxophone, guitars, vocals, and even a xylophone, I have never had anything come together so seamlessly. I am incredibly proud of it, along with the rest of the album. This track is from my 2007 album, Ergo. How in the heck did this come out 17 years ago? So much has changed in my life during that time, but I'm very proud of this album as overall production and songwriting clicked better and better for me as I wrote it.

 I recently acquired the master audio disc for the album and felt it would be an excellent time to release it on this platform. While I have access to the original recording files and considered remastering the album, I decided to leave it as it was originally released, even if it is a little loud in some spots. ;)

My favorites from this album? Tears Echo, Endless Wave 07, and Cinematic Showdown are my highlights. All three tracks are incredibly energetic and have a distinct sound that focuses on the Trance genre.

When I dropped "Good Morning, Master!" on my brand new album, people loved it, but didn't quite dig S.A.R.A. on the track. They felt that her lines were a bit too...anime-ish, which honestly was sort of the point, but I did take note of it.

I Sleep Better, removes the anime feel and goes more for a straight vocal feel that would be more in line with a Chicane track, who was a big influence on how I wrote this track.

I was recently hired to do a commission of Stage 3's music from Power Blade 2 and I was happy to do the song; especially considering I never heard the song before!  The original requester for this remix wanted the song to have a chilled out vibe to it. I think the chilled out vibe was achieved with a little a mix of something you'd hear out of the "Stranger Things" soundtrack.

This music is dedicated to all those cyberpunks who fight against injustice and corruption every day of their lives. 

The Neon Noir project began life as a soundtrack to an independently made point and click adventure game that paid homage to Konami classics like Snatcher and Policenauts. Mike Mertes (Unleaded Logic), a long-time gamer and music composer was brought on board with the project to compose four music tracks for the game. After a departure on the development team occurred, Mike joined the team for a short time before the project ultimately was stalled and cancelled. Not wanting to waste the work that was put into the game and music, Mike secured the rights to continue to use the name of the game for what would now be his latest album. 

The Neon Noir is as much as an album as it still is a soundtrack. The synth wave vibe brings back memories of the 80s as you explore the dark and gritty city of the Neon Noir and escape its concrete jungle to reach the coast made from neon dreams. Love, wins, loss, betrayal and escape…await.

16K Of Memories

A music tribute to one of my favorite game music composers: Yuzo Koshiro. Even being a huge Nintendo fan boy in the 90's, I could not deny that Streets of Rage 2 had one of the best game soundtracks ever. With all the different melodies and rhythms, I was in love with it! The music always reminded me of Inner City, one of the Detroit Techno pioneers of electronic music!  A year ago, I decided that I wanted to incorporate "GO STRAIGHT from Streets of Rage 2 into my live sets and this was the result.
