Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog is the founder of UK record label Khazad Records. As an artist his style could be categorised as industrial groove, focusing on heavy groove-ridden drums, driving bass lines, and obscure distorted vocals. 

Balrog has gone from strength to strength over the last few years with multiple releases on exciting techno labels including Soma, Instruments Of Discipline, Moments In Time, Green Fetish and The Meaning Of Rave. His music has received support from some of the biggest in the scene including Amelie Lens, Dax J, Rebekah, Perc, Paula Temple, Manni Dee, and many more.

This mix is part of Balrog’s vinyl only mix series “When Techno Had Groove”, focussing on working through his collection of records from the late 90s and early 2000’s, a taste of what to expect on March 12.

For this new Podcast we invite CRYME, who first gained exposure through the Berlin party collective Concrete, where he tested the waters playing wild parties and where he still holds a residency today. Over the past years the young artist has been carving out a place for himself in the underground Berlin techno scene with the groove-infused, fast paced, infectious style he has since become known for.

The three core elements of his music are a passion that can be felt on the dancefloor, rhythms that make you slowly lose control and a balance between these elements that neatly ties everything together. Enjoy and turn it loud!

M.Y.R.A. is a Dutch Techno DJ and Producer with pure passion and an ever-evolving taste for electronic music. Her focus is 
up-tempo energetic groovy rhythms, hard hitting percussions, and hypnotic atmospheres with a dark touch that really dives deep. The grooves, buildups and relentless releases of energy delivers satisfaction on every present entity.
Coming from a musical family, MYRA has played piano since a young age. As a teenager she discovered electronic music 
and over the years she has collected a carefully chosen vinyl and digital selection, and since then she has felt inextricably 
connected to the scene. Soon after she got into producing music and released her first tracks, started to play at appreciated
clubs like Doornroosje and club BASIS and met many like-minded people along her musical road.
MYRA recently graduated from the Electronic Music Academy at the conservatory of Amsterdam and has many exciting gigs and releases coming up in the near future.
