Meandering between electro, UK breakbeat and house, the two boys from Germanys capital are connected not only through their shared passion in music but also a long lasting friendship. Meeting in their teenage years they’ve gone through a long journey together experiencing different genres of electronic music and thus finding what they want for their DJ sets: a proper bassline. Besides DJing @lupaal1 are part of the Berlin collective @sonntagsinstitut that is planing and promoting events on the intersection of party and politics.

For the 34th edition we welcome Extase Urbaine to our mix series.
With his roots in Amsterdam’s DIY scene, Extase Urbaine has been quick gaining a momentum, achieving local and international recognition.
He is the co-founder and resident DJ of HDE, a collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of underground clubbing. HDE nights quickly became among Amsterdam’s most recognized parties, known for their multidisciplinary approach to the dance floor.
His DJ sets cross weave genres, scenes, past and present, blending everything from body music and techno, to electro and trance-y explorations.
Extase has released music on independent record labels such as Soil and Ferma, and is soon putting out an EP with Slow Motion/Wrong Era imprint and Budapest’s Dalmata Daniel.

"The mix itself was recorded in my homecity Moscow. The past 4 years of my life have greatly influenced me as a human and as an artist. The Russian music scene had resurrected and generated it's own styles. Of course there are various groups and artists here, but I can say that I was most impressed by the electronic music raves over here. Its not only about bringing new music, it's about creative expression in all directions. I organised several parties here in Moscow with my friends on a pretty high level. But In the last year the situation has changed a bit. The electronic music scene in Russia came under pressure from the government. A lots of festivals were shut down because of it. But everybody here knows, that its only a matter of time and someday in the nearest future things will get better. I tried to show this mood in the mix to reflect the current situation with a belief in a bright future" - Echo
