Saul Antolin - Sing It Back (Percussive EDIT)

Germany-based Cristiano Rosso continues to increase his presence on the global Tech House scene with a wave of well-produced releases on Low Groove Records, Lemon Juice Records and several others. Following his addition to our 2021 Winter VA with 'Token', Cristiano makes his Black Seven Music solo debut with the impressive 'Bye Felicia'.

Opening with the title cut, 'Bye Felicia' rides a wave of rolling rhythms and resonant tones, blending percussive-focused Tech House with vivid Deep House flavours. A punchy kick and bass combo float alongside a rich synth lead and a head-turning trumpet solo, adding a sensual layer to its robust undulating cadence.

'Zoo' comes next, bringing the release to a close with another impressive display from Rosso. Chugging drums and a catchy rhythmic bassline combine with rippling percussion and cleverly placed fills to add endless movement to the mix and keep you on your toes. Beyond that, you'll find swirling Italo sampling & pulsating analoge arps that keep things explicitly funky from start to finish.

US-based artist Wait For Me makes his solo debut on Unnamed & Unknown with a pumping three-track EP - titled ‘Work & Desire’.

Hailing from Charlestown, United States, DJ/Producer Wait For Me is steadily making a name for himself on the global Tech House scene. Following releases on Kubbo Records, Groovy Bone, Bella Vie Music and many more, he returns to Unnamed & Unknown following his addition to our ‘ADE ‘22’ VA with an impressive solo debut ‘Work & Desire’ EP. 

Kicking off with the title cut, ‘Work & Desire’ makes a solid beeline with rolling grooves and swirling vocal constructions. Riding potent beats and roaring low-frequency rumble, its scattered percussive energy and cleverly constructed vocal arrangements add attention-grabbing movement and character to the mix to carve out a punchy peak-time Tech stomper. 

‘The Name Is Bob’ sees Wait For Me deliver a uniquely fetching and funk-filled vibe-builder. A catchy bassline melody and undulating drum work push the track forwards through a myriad of playful twists, turns and creative fills from start to finish. A uniquely funky record with an instantly memorable character, showcasing his artistic individuality.

‘Git Get It’ brings the release to a close in style with more signature label-centric vibes and heaps of dancefloor energy. Neverending layers of rippling percussion and tonal shots create a wave of movement between firm kicks, sizzling hat grooves and widened bass notes, joining another scattered array of clever vox work and subtle musicality to deliver a delightfully underground jam. 

Wait For Me’s ‘Work & Desire’ EP is out on 9th March 2023 on Unnamed & Unknown.

Black Seven Music returns with an outstanding EP by KiRKie, showcasing his prowess as an electronic music producer. The 'Get to Grips' EP includes three tracks, each with a unique flavour and atmosphere, designed to captivate listeners and ignite dancefloors.

The opening track, 'Get to Grips', sets the tone with its stripped-back, minimalistic approach. The glitchy vocal samples dance atop the intricate beats, creating a mesmerising soundscape that lures you in and doesn't let go.

Rising Australian talent Joel Cantone debuts on Unnamed & Unknown with his ‘Let’s Go Disco’ EP.

Following releases on NOPRESET Records, Wasted Music and several others, Brisbane-based artist Joel Cantone makes an impressive debut with Portugal’s Unnamed & Unknown as he unleashed his four-track ‘Let’s Go Disco’ EP. 

Kicking off with the title track, ‘Let’s Go Disco’ gets things moving with a generous serving of signature U&U vibes. Punchy drums, piercing hat grooves and rolling percussion collide with gripping spoken vocals, fattened bass tones and sweeping textures to carve out an endlessly catchy roller. 

‘Eccies’ comes next, bringing a stripped-back underground cut loaded with roughened resonance and gritty melodic injections. Another worthy display of robust drum work comes into play, punching through a continuum of intricately rhythmic percussive layers and shots alongside processed synth stabs and edgy vocal samples. 

‘Drip’ follows, keeping things minimal and groove-focused with another explicitly avant-garde record, building around endless individual layers of rhythmic and tonal instruments, complemented by glitchy fills and processed vocal shots from start to finish. 

‘Coca Cola’ rounds off the release impressively with more stripped-back vibes, completing the EP with another quirky combination of cleverly constructed vocals, rolling grooves and subtle melodic injections. 

Joel Cantone’s ‘Let's Go Disco’ EP  is available from 1st June 2023 via Unnamed & Unknown.
