Up next on Unnamed & Unknown, Kidoo, Exob and Grig come together to turn out a freshly-squeezed two-tracker with a striking duo of club cuts - ‘Rainbow Baby’.

Our first EP of 2022 sees a triple debut as Kidoo, Exob and Grig bring their work to Unnamed & Unknown for the first time. WIth releases between them on labels like Shake Recordings, DPE, Distance Music and many more, this three-pronged attack makes for an impressive first outing on the imprint. 

Opening the release, ‘Rainbow’ sees Kidoo link up with Exob for an emphatic groove-focused dancefloor heater. Building around tonal percussion and rolling rhythm - its hypnotic energy carries you along effortlessly. Expanding into subtle harmonics and a commanding vocal topline, its mesmeric allure continues to drive you deeper down the rabbit hole into a melting pot of deep and danceable delights. 

Closing the release, Kidoo returns alongside Grig for ‘Damn Baby’. The track focuses on perpetuating rhythm and low-frequency elements as it takes a more stripped-back and underground approach. Punchy drum work meets another cleverly constructed ripple of tonal percussion, bringing melody and movement to the mix at great depth. Rounded off with a delightfully distinctive vocal addition, it’s a track with plenty of reasons to get you moving.

Argentinian native Funk Off keeps our 2022 schedule moving as he makes his Black Seven Music debut this March with a killer two-track release - Roller. 

Blossoming out of a region renowned for its Deep & Tech House artists, rising talent Funk Off (AR) continues to make strides in the right direction with a stream of impressive releases on well respected electronic imprints. Adding to that tally, he touches down on Black Seven Music for the first time with a duo of emphatic dancefloor-ready stompers - what an introduction!

‘Roller’ is first up, bringing along a heavyweight arrangement and boisterous persona that you won’t forget in a hurry. Thumping drum work and crystal clear percs build the perfect blend of punch and flow, whilst roaring sub-bass adds even more movement to the depths of the track. A hooky rap vocal flows throughout, whilst a secondary vox is twisted and stretched alongside a climactic and sawing synth - before hammering in another furious drop and pushing you back into its groove. 

‘High Wire’ comes next with even more cadence and energy. Driving rhythms take charge from the outset, with a strong core of kicks, bass notes and sampled hand drums keeping you plugged in. Another dominant rap vocal features heavily in the bridge sections of the track, whilst rising melodies build suspense - leading to compelling dives and plenty of robust grove-focused segments.

Oravla Ziur returns to Unnamed & Unknown in March 2022 for his full solo label debut with ‘Sax On The Beach’. 

After several impressive offerings over the last couple of years, Oravla Ziur returns to our label once again for a solo three-track release. Undeniably one of Tech House’s brightest prospects, Oravla’s distinguishable audio signature comes out in full force on his latest EP.

‘Don’t Go’ is the first of three rhythmically pleasing cuts. Its energetic bed of drums and percussion pave the way for driving sub-bass, lighthearted synths and reverberating vocal arrangements, leading into suspenseful bridges and hammering drops that form a well-rounded peak-time terrace tool.

The title track ‘Sax On The Beach’ comes next, with a more laid-back approach and emphasis on groove. Rolling drum work and crisp percussive layers create a firm platform for a wave of fills, soulful vocal chops and a show-stopping saxophone solo that pops up throughout the track. Looking towards the warmer months, this feel-good number will leave you eager for some sunshine and outdoor dancing. 

‘Some Drums’ closes the release on a relaxed tempo. More weighty beat construction features heavily here, with a focus on woodwork and hat sequences. Robust sub-bass adds even more cadence whilst deepened synths pulsate and late-night textures flood the track, tied together by another striking vocal composition. Subterranean flavours are at their best here!

The world-renowned Miami Music Week returns in its entirety in 2022. What better way to celebrate it than a compilation to mark the occasion? Making up our MMW VA, we welcome a host of international acts to the stage as they share an array of forward-thinking underground cuts!

Teknically Speaking blow the door wide open with ‘Titled’, bringing swinging grooves, jazzy melodies and soulful vocal arrangements to create a certified vibe-builder. ‘Look Out’ follows with Chris Brooks and Martin Bordacahar turning out a terrace-geared percussive jam with bottom-heavy beats, subtle harmonies and hooky vox constructions. Simon Salazar’s ‘Fergilicious’ ramps up the pace with driving rhythms and pulsating bass notes and a nostalgic vocal topline, churning out a guaranteed dancefloor heater - also accompanied by a stripped-back ‘Dub Mix’.

MartinoResi, Baraçal and Marcelo keep up the tempo with more percussive-driven mastery on ‘Tombo’, delivering a groove-laden mix of sturdy drums, captivating melodic factors and sultry vocal runs. Ivan Zorzolo and Julio Bravo’s ‘Crashed’ takes a deep dive, stripping back the energy and emphasising an underground feel via a heavyset kick and sub combo, scattered percs and glitchy sampling. Matt Arnold’s ‘Hero Or Nero’ showcases his increasingly-popular audio signature of tribal-tinged rolling beats and blossoming musicality, bringing weighty terrace rhythms and vivid injections of harmony from end to end.

JXR’s ‘Euphoria’ builds around layers of gritty leads, pads, and bass notes alongside punchy drum work and fizzing hat sequences for an undeniably danceable and charismatic cut. ‘Liket’ sees Matías Schaller dip back into the heavier end of the spectrum with colossal rhythmic sub-bass and big-room appeal from the outset, making it a prime time playlist pick. JP Torres closes the compilation with ‘Oh Right!’, keeping the energy at a resounding high level with a vocally-driven dancefloor weapon full of riveting cadence and unwavering intrigue from the very start.
