Next on Unnamed & Unknown, Palencia native Saul Antolin makes his return to the label with a standout three-track EP, including a remix from Greck B & Anko A - ‘Farlopedo’.

‘Fresshh’ opens the release with perky energy and upbeat flavours. Punchy drums, percussive flair and rhythmic sub-bass make up the body of the track, whilst offbeat fills, pitched vocal cuts & synth shots add more character to this terrace-ready vibe builder. 

The title track ‘Farlopedo’ comes next, continuing the theme of tough terrace rollers. Another flurry of potent drum work meets a deep sub and layers of sizzling percussive factors, matched by a catchy and attitude-laden vocal hook, pulsating synths and electrifying snare rolls - weighty peak time tech house at its best!

Greck B & Anko A round off the release with their remix of ‘Farlopedo’. Keeping it explicitly groovy from start to finish - the track focuses around roaring sub-bass with melodic elements enveloping it as the remix progresses. A keen emphasis on layered synths and funky samples make this a selection that keeps on giving more and more as you get deeper into the track - a standout remix from a formidable production duo.

Let Angel Heredia be your guide as the ‘Take A Trip’ EP invites clubbers to catch some rays late in the calendar. The Spanish producer and DJ has taken his bag of beats across the country before letting the world in on his turntable secrets and style, only aligning himself with the best labels and reaping the rewards of A-list support as a result. Alongside his role as label A&R, Heredia is ready to roll again as a Clarisse artist, with the ‘Groovapaluzza’ and ‘Bang Bang’ EPs already in his back catalogue. 
 
With some garage-style skip in his step, Heredia only travels first class for ‘Take A Trip’. The bassline dip that runs throughout is killer, and the snatches of female vocal pleasure are at one with the sun and sea the track has packed its bag for. Throwing in some classic organ bass sounds as well for good measure and with Heredia temporarily getting a touch spikier on the breakdown, ‘Take A Trip’ has got that essential Clarisse holiday hotspot vibe to it. 
 
Featuring a sideshow of beats and pieces propping up a straightforwardly direct dose of the deep and funky, ‘Dozze’ invests in more low end melody, but one which steps like bare feet on hot poolside concrete. Sleekly going about its business, this 4x4 rollout is almost unaware of the percussive tricks, echoes, stutters, beatboxes and fine slivers of exotic vocals Heredia liberally sprinkles into the mix like he’s putting toppings on a huge scoop of ice cream. Crucially these are just the sort of techniques to catch your ear and convert your position to one of appreciation in front of the DJ booth. Release #111 is win-win-win.

Argentinian native Funk Off keeps our 2022 schedule moving as he makes his Black Seven Music debut this March with a killer two-track release - Roller. 

Blossoming out of a region renowned for its Deep & Tech House artists, rising talent Funk Off (AR) continues to make strides in the right direction with a stream of impressive releases on well respected electronic imprints. Adding to that tally, he touches down on Black Seven Music for the first time with a duo of emphatic dancefloor-ready stompers - what an introduction!

‘Roller’ is first up, bringing along a heavyweight arrangement and boisterous persona that you won’t forget in a hurry. Thumping drum work and crystal clear percs build the perfect blend of punch and flow, whilst roaring sub-bass adds even more movement to the depths of the track. A hooky rap vocal flows throughout, whilst a secondary vox is twisted and stretched alongside a climactic and sawing synth - before hammering in another furious drop and pushing you back into its groove. 

‘High Wire’ comes next with even more cadence and energy. Driving rhythms take charge from the outset, with a strong core of kicks, bass notes and sampled hand drums keeping you plugged in. Another dominant rap vocal features heavily in the bridge sections of the track, whilst rising melodies build suspense - leading to compelling dives and plenty of robust grove-focused segments.
