To my loyal friends fans and fam,

You may have noticed that I've been taking more time with my releases lately. After a year-long break from music, I've rediscovered my love for the process of creating sound and exploring new sonic possibilities. I sincerely hope that this newfound appreciation shines through in my music.

I am proud to say that "Fools Game" is, in my opinion, some of my best work yet. The lyrics evoke a powerful feeling, the energy in the buildups is palpable, and the drops pack a punch that I find absolutely perfect. Every element in this track is something I hold dear.

I must say, the second drop is especially unique, unexpected, and heavy as can be.

Hi, I'm Grave. 
I like to make ridiculously bassy riddim, it tickles my pickle.
It's extra super cool when you support my music so I'm giving you this on my birthday as a gift to myself because my FAVOURITE thing to share, is my progress and on a scale of 1-10 how much improvement was made in this track compared to everything else I've ever released, I made 9.5 stars worth of progress (even if it wasn't perfection, that's how much better it sounds compared to all the rest).

Firstly, thank you to the close friends who've walked along side the progress of all my music, listened to the bones of them all before they've become what made it to the public ear and to those few people (you know who you are) who gave me the constructive feedback that continues to help me improve all of my sweet little music babies. I can't wait to keep releasing. I really wanted to hold off but I'm not at all ready to be releasing full albums consistently so I'll just keep at it the way I have c:

For anyone interested in the technical side:

I've been focusing heavily on improving my mastering, EQing throughout the individual sounds I'm using, sidechaining (where to and how much) as well as utilizing automation manipulations for both effects, mixing and EQ change ups. I have never done production courses and I've never really been around other producers to fully understand the lingo but I learn through sound and hearing how different VSTS manipulate sounds, what tools can achieve an effect I'd like to do while working through the track to give it 'flair' and I do a lot of this by analyzing the music I enjoy and finding what's missing in my own work; I go ahead and research, test, trial and fail until I finally achieve what I was looking for and start adapting it in with the previous things I've learned. Not everything is what I intended it to be but, I pull all of my progress towards what I'm trying to ultimately achieve when I start considering my music 'stage worthy'.
I utilize my own ears more than tutorials or lessons but I have taken a lot of little things from many people and adapted that into my work over time so I do owe some credit where it's due.
