The Composers 002 is a distance trip into our podcast station, showcasing a set by Divide who's alias of Davide Maio, Italian Sound Craftsman, one of the true techno quality exponents, also known for his work as one-half of the Syntaxism duo.

The set builds up like an opera but bringing rhythms directly to danceable territories in a complex synth crescendo.

In this piece of art, you can find almost every colour in the techno sound palette, from the ambient intro, to the deeply soundscaped last tracks. In between there is an abundance of beats and synths, evolving from relentless groove spiced with FM bells and resonant bleeps and dubbed subtle synth melodies in jazzy scales.

Random sequences and tight 909 drum workout, and melodies and arpeggios over a shuffled beat, complex evolving to more aggressive sounds approach.
Harshness acts, fat drums and resonant craziness spiced with wise handled distortion, reminded us the best moments of solid nineties techno: high BPM, well cooked chords and 909.
Sequences blend with each other, giving this chaos order feeling as a powerful and unforgettable unique piece.

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, George Tounisidis studied sound engineering and made his first steps in music as a bassist in mainly rock'n'roll bands of the country.

Through the years, he came in contact with the Detroit techno scene and that's where it all started.

His first release saw the light of day through the record label of legendary Ben Sims,Hardgroove, it was a split release with Chambray.
Later more releases followed through Ben Sims' Symbolism and Machine (50-track compilation selected by Ben Sims and Kirk Degiorgio). He is also working for labels like Coyu's Suara, Dstm, Haus22 Records and Shay De Castro's label Revolution.

Gustavo Lima, aka A Thousand Details can be considered possibly as one of the 
most important rising artist of Portugal´s techno scene. In the recent years this 
Porto based producer has established himself at the forefront of Portugal´s next 
generation of techno DJs.
With releases in different labels, his home is ATD Records, a self-release label with 
a 100% Made in Portugal concept. Known for fast paced, dark and somewhat 
distorted rhythms this energetic and charismatic Dj is huge fan of hardware 
synthesizers, FXs, drum machines, Eurorack and his studio is own sanctuary of 
creation. Gustavo place emphasis on all crevices of the electronic music spectrum, 
which is reflected on side projects doing ambient and drone music and the sets he 
pieces together from his sound collection.
A Thousand Details has fast become recognized as a seasoned digger having the 
opportunity of playing throughout Portugal and at most of the major clubs in Porto 
such us GARE, Plano B as well as Neopop festival.
