E951 Video Demo Intro Soundtrack

There are 4 identical  synth voices each consisting of a Synth Tech MOTM-300 VCO (triangle wave out), MOTM-800 ADSR and MOTM-190 VCA and at the very beginning I start with one voice and incrementally add in the rest.

The synth voices are driven by a Moon Modular 569 sequencer in 4x8 mode and features the new 569LE Quad Lag Expander. 

As the sequence runs I'm transposing it melodically using a Roland A-88 MIDI keyboard through a MOTM-650 MIDI to CV converter and the CV is patched to the 569's transpose input.

About halfway through I mix in the strings which are from a Mellotron M4000D Rack and there is a little Yamaha FS1R in there too and both are controlled from the same A-88 midi keyboard. Once I start playing chords it gets a little tricky to keep the sequence transposed where I want it because I needed to "roll" the chord to make sure the MIDI to CV converter was outputting the root note of the chord.

The effects were all Strymon pedals: BigSky, Timeline and Mobius. Everything was mixed through an Allen & Heath Mixwizard 20S and performed in real time . . . except I botched the very end because I tried to mute the sequenced voices and flubbed it up so I redid it and spliced them together in post.   ;-)

I was playing my master midi controller for a while (Roland A-88) after I had finished rearranging gear in my studio and I was liking this little idea so I thought I would share.
