Those who assume anything Sophie releases has to sound deconstructed have forgotten a lot of her productions and remixes that sound like the slickest "reconstructed" club you've ever heard. Look at 1,2,3, Dayz Up for example.

Somehow, at least on my perspective, this version sounds waaaay more like SOPHIE than the official

This song has always been one of my favorite pop moments from the 2010's. I always thought it presented as a hedonistic party anthem but there were slightly more sinister and sad undertones to it. A song about people waiting for the weekend, living recklessly, overindulging, to the point of self destruction. I decided to put my spin on the track. A dichotomy between quiet moments of inner dialogue juxtaposed with the deafening chaos of the club. Hope you enjoy it! <3
