Continuing where their 2015 debut album ‘Monumenter’ left off, ‘Brennende åkres grøde’ has been harvested from the trembling blood soaked earth and carved out from the rotting veil that so far separates our world from the infinite empty blackness. 

With over 40 minutes of ferocious, ugly and tormented Black Metal, Askeregn remains true to their unpleasant approach to the genre, yet still able to develop their sound further in their own chaotic and hallucinatory ways. It is obvious: this can only be Askeregn. 

‘Brennende åkres grøde’ manages to sum up the atmospheres from all of the band’s previous releases at the same time as it keeps its blood shot eyes on the blazing horizon. 
This is contemporary music for a burning world, made for feasting rats and maggots - exactly what you need and deserve! 

The album is mixed by Bjarte Lund Rolland of Kvelertak and released exclusively on Terratur Possessions, winter 2022.

ASKEREGN - Ekko Av Tomhet

Saor, meaning “Free” in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, is a one-man Atmospheric Celtic Metal band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 2012 by Andy Marshall.
 
Saor’s sound is a blend of styles influenced by Scottish Folk, Atmospheric Black Metal and Post-Rock, using traditional Celtic Folk instruments such as Tin Whistle, Bagpipes and Bodhrán together with the raw power and emotion of Black Metal and atmospheric elements of Post-Rock.

Fanfarra is a mind-blowing journey across melodies and industrial sound that show the most rebellious side of AFFKT. This organic and strong electronic music piece comes remixed by the also powerful Damon Jee, who takes the track to his desk and offers a remarkable and emotional breakdown. AFFKT's Crocanti Trilogy of crispy minimalism comes to an end with Orange Crocanti, another dance-floor beast that growls with his sharp synths. Swipe is probably the most reflexive track of the EP, but at the same time, is looking forward and leading us to think about the uncertain future.
