About the release:

We live in a complicated age. As the global population rises, the demand for work increases, while the possibilities dwindle. This is further exacerbated when governments turn inwards, destroying their own people. For these reasons among many others, it is now more critical than ever that we approach our fellow human beings with a sense of compassion, understanding, and helpfulness. 

Our mission at Unrush has always been to help unravel the stresses of daily life. Whether it be through our monthly podcasts or our event series in Berlin, we have continually aimed to alleviate the complications inherent in simply existing. With the launch of The Unrush Tapes, we have now decided to do something palpable in order to share the music we love while simultaneously relieving some of the real, serious problems that burden people's lives. Therefore, all profits from this tape will go to help4people in Berlin e.V., a non-profit charity dedicated to seeing the successful integration of the much overlooked African immigrants in Berlin. 

Musically we have turned to many past Unrush contributors for their generous offerings, including Wanderwelle, Shaded Explorer, Katya Yonder, Bleak, Sirko Mueller, 3KZ, John Heckle and many others. With a textural palate to match the diversity of mankind, there is a subtle narrative that forms throughout the compositions. Equipped with unlimited sonic possibilities, they bring us to a place of eternal peace that resides within us all. This is the place that we want to explore. Welcome to the world of Unrush.

U N R U S H is an experiment in sound, a crystalline vision of eternal pause. Through our record label, podcasts, interviews, and event series we focus on presenting a diverse array of alluring ambient music. With each guest contribution we search for a serene space within the mind that is free from the encumbering stresses of daily life. Our events will act as a platform for distinguished artists and take place in stunning cultural surroundings both in the city and in nature, taking a step away from the pounding hedonism of the club to showcase the other side of electronic music.
