Nevertheless, this will probably find its way to either a new single or EP - maybe with some further sonic surgery, but then again maybe not. I'm quite fond of this one as it stands now; maybe one of my better attempts at mixing the stylized aggravation of old-school EBM with the ecstatic propulsion of all varieties of good techno.

Unsichtbare Gegner is the techno / post-industrial project of author and sound artist Thomas Bey-William Bailey.

I create music in the spirit of the original subversive wave of independent electronics-based artists (Severed Heads, Coil, Cabaret Voltaire, Clock DVA, Fad Gadget, Mark Stewart etc etc.), coupled with strong influences from the darker and more adventurous exponents of modern techno in Birmingham, Berlin and elsewhere.

Non-musical cues come from our modern culture of information saturation, the specter of artificial intelligence, the fiction of JG Ballard, corporate serfdom, and the joy of seeking real psychological independence. "The necessity of producing has always been the enemy of the desire to create".
