Bretter-Gewitter in meinem Kopf 

Elektronische Musik, genauer gesagt Techno ist heutzutage ein fundamentaler Bestandteil der (alternativen) Jugendkultur. Für viele Techno-Begeisterte etabliert sich parallel zum Musikgeschmack, auch ein bestimmter, von liberalen Werten dominierter Lebensstil. Dies erscheint auch kaum verwunderlich, wenn man einen genaueren Blick auf die Szene wirft. Kurz gesagt, innerhalb der technoiden Sub-Kultur gibt es eigentlich nur eine Grundregel. Um es mit einem Sprichwort auszudrücken: Was du nicht willst, was man dir tu, das füg auch keinem ander(e)n zu. Dieser Logik folgend endet die individuelle Freiheit erst da, wo die eines Mitmenschen eingeschränkt werden würde. 
Im allgemeinen herrscht eine recht positive und optimistische Grundstimmung- und Einstellungen in den Sphären der donnernden Kicks und Basslines vor. Für Außenstehende mag das naiv oder auch fahrlässig erscheinen, jedoch funktioniert diese Weltanschauung innerhalb des Elektronischen Musik-Kosmos ausgezeichnet. Diese Annahme bestätigt sich ein ums andere Mal, wenn man einen entsprechenden Club aufsucht oder einige  Tage auf einem Festival verbringt. An diesen Orten offenbart sich jedes Mal wieder die ganze Pracht und Schönheit dieser Kultur und kulturellen Szene. Harmonie, das gemeinschaftliche Miteinander und Spaß an der Freude haben hier einen ganz großen Stellenwert. Mag die Musik zeitweise auch düster klingen, die dazu tanzenden sind (meist) voller Liebe. Ein bisschen mehr Techno für diese Welt und das Leben könnte soviel leichter, unbeschwerter und erfüllter für die Menschen sein. 

Heute ist das in Hannover beheimatete DJ-Duo FØCUS auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Pre-Corona legten die Beiden einen guten Startschuss als Newcomer aufs Parkett und bespielten viele regionale Clubs und Veranstaltungen. Zusätzlich veröffentlich(t)en sie kontinuierlich Sets und Podcasts auf SoundCloud. Sympathisch, verführerisch und handwerklich versiert, verzückt FØCUS regelmäßig sein Publikum, ganz gleich ob analog oder digital. 
Dieser Podcast von den Boys ist ein wahres Schlachtschiff von Set. Diese Form des Technos ist RAW, einschneidend und treibend. Doch genug der geschriebenen Worte. Lassen wir die Musik für sich selbst sprechen.

Arriving hard on the heels of his Lobster Theremin debut, Swiss-born, Berlin based techno artist Chlär prepares the first ever release of Welcome to the Loop World with four devastating cuts of furious and fun pounding rhythms.

Honing his skills as part of the Swiss free-party scene, Chlär has exploded onto the Berlin soundscape with his futuristic blend of break-neck electro, old school trance melodies and typically noisy grooves, with regular appearances coming on Berlin’s leading streaming platform HOR catching particular attention thanks to his skilful, precise and high velocity blends.

‘It’s a Common Thing’ is as subdued as it is raw; an unapologetically in-your-face energy with emo-vocal samples and tense, swirling sonics that allow no room for rest. ‘The Tribe’ begins with high-filter kick and wooden instrumentation that quickly evolves into a full-scale bassfest; not for the faint-hearted.

The manipulated synth-strings of ‘Staying True’ make for a contemporary-classical take on the typically black-and-white techno format, creating something new and exciting that is distinctively Chlär, before ‘Right Mood Supplier’ swaps harsh noise for something a little more progressive; wriggling basslines and jump-up-and-down energy creating something punchy and fun.

Focus is a Dj Duo from Hannover. The project was born 2017 out of their shared passion for electronic music and its scene   
Starting off in their own home and moving on to filling house parties with melodic, deep and raw techno sound, wild times inside the club Weidendamm followed. Thats when they founded their collective unsigned.
Before the pandemic they both played as newcomers at more clubs and events. Additionally they released many podcasts on Soundcloud and started their „Torus Serial“ which are mixes that reflect their current musical influences.
