You can do a lot worse than having the 90's as your formative years musically, especially as fans of the darker, more avant garde side of Hip Hop and the genres it went on to influence. Massive Attack, Portishead, very British bands that dabbled in the dark, whilst still employing the sampling techniques of the  music coming from New York at the time, have been a huge influence on us and our sound.
