Basside brings the sass to Sorry Records. 

5 years in the making, Miami Bass duo Basside return to Brooklyn label Sorry Records with ‘FUCK IT UP’ for their second EP, out tomorrow. The six-track release is entirely produced by SOPHIE after inviting them to her studio in LA in 2016 following seeing the duo at Miami ii Points Festival. All six tracks were produced during that session. 

Basside are childhood BFFs Que Linda and Caro Loka who have been local Miami legends for a while now, having been performing since 2015. Bringing their booty-rattling bass to the masses, the duo have shared stages with Miami Bass icons such as L’Trimm and 2 Live Crew and released their first self-titled EP in 2017, also on Sorry Records and was later remixed by label affiliate Drummy.

The tracks featured on the ‘FUCK IT UP’ EP have long been fan favourites and supported within sets from PC Music founder A. G. Cook, Charli XCX, Jimmy Edgar, and Machinedrum, as well as SOPHIE herself including them in her DJ sets at the likes of Primavera Sound and Miami’s Ultra Music Festival. 

In a previous interview with Crack Magazine, the duo mentioned that they want their music ‘to make people feel loose, empowered, sexy… but also make them laugh a little bit’ which is certainly showcased throughout ‘FUCK IT UP’ - the last track ‘CRAZY EXPENSIVE’ is the ultimate power anthem, reminding you to know your worth.

In the wake of SOPHIE’s passing, Basside and Sorry Records have decided to finally share these tracks, leading with SOPHIE’s remix of NYC2MIA - a track that was previously released on Basside’s 2017 self-titled EP. The rework combines SOPHIE’s signature hyperreal production style and Basside’s catchy, playful chant “New York to Miami/no bras, no panties”. It’s the perfect pairing. 

Talking about the timing of the release, Que Linda said to Miami New Times, "the passing of Sophie made us realize that time is short and we shouldn't wait any longer. We also wanted to give a gift to everyone that's heartbroken."

The proceeds from the single are being donated to Sylvia Rivera Law Project; a collective organisation that works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence.

It's getting hot in here with three new perreo cuts from Miami's finest Nick León.

Following a string of self-released EPs and an appearance on NAAFI, Nick León returns to Tra Tra Trax later this week - recalling the first sonic encounters on the radio when they were kids and sampling vocals from some of their childhood idols. He's also invited Henzo, Kelman Duran and Maral to put their spin on the tracks. 

Nick León previously released on Tra Tra Trax last year with a collaborative record alongside Bitter Babe who made her production debut. He’s a prolific producer and sound designer in his own right, known for mixing organic textures with club polyrhythms and sci-fi sound design. One of our favourite producers, Nick is also affiliated with Space Tapes Miami and has worked on records with INVT, Lao, Kaxien, LTAV, PRJCTN and more. 

Based in Colombia, Tra Tra Trax is run by Nyksan, Defuse and Veracco and was launched in July 2020 with an EP from DJ Pai. Since then they have released records from Luca Durán and OCTUBRXLIBRV as well as featured remixes from Florentino, AYA, Ikonika, BADSISTA and more.

that 90s-esque minimalist techno sound is something that forest on stasys has become renowned for within his own productions on labels such as space lab, hyphen records, crescent london, harmony records, lowless, accent records and worst records to name a few. alongside this, forest on stasys runs and curates the label aura sonora which recently released a record by dyl & tammo hesselink and he’s also part of the danza nativa crew which he has been co-running alongside alderaan and kyntral since 2018.

berlin-based, italy-born dj & producer notte infinita graces the 909 series this week with a session that glistens and glows. starting with the dreamy downtempo soundscapes of kincaid, konduku, and joe caven, the mix leans on insect-like drums and synths that sound like mating calls in the night before moving into more introspective and darker moods. it’s a session made to soundtrack hazy early mornings whilst you melt away in your surroundings, soaking everything in. 

notte infinita is one of my go to producers. his remix of big hand’s ‘girde maye / astere’ has been on repeat ever since it was released ~ it’s a challenge in of itself to not include it in every set or mix i play. it has that dreamy, hazy quality that you will find in his 909 mix with a loopy vocal to get lost in. with a strong affinity to soundsystem culture and sound design, notte infinita’s productions can go from the slippery dancehall mutations that are found on his manila killer float / slippery ruff ep to epic world building as found on hi-tech roller remix of priori’s pareidolia. there’s also further notable releases on in:dex and oscilla sound.

the dust has only just settled on summer 2025, with cosy season being invited in with a warm embrace and we’re already looking back fondly at the memories made and the dancefloors shared across the past three months. one of those moments is the idyllic kune festival who we will be teaming up with for the next few weeks to share sets and stories from their fifth edition. for the first time ever, they’ve filmed some of these moments to be shared with you all, taking a deeper glimpse into the scenes, sounds and style of this stunning weekend. 

kune is nestled within one of europe’s most unique festival locations, ungdomsøen, a former sea fortress turned cultural playground that is just 30 minutes by boat from copenhagen. historic bunkers become listening rooms, old stone courtyards turn into dancefloors and the sea-facing hills offer a moment of respite from the stimulating surroundings. creating an isolated utopia that fully allows their guests to escape from the hustle and bustle of their normal lives, kune has quietly grown over the last five years, drawing a crowd of open-minded individuals that nurtures and pushes arts and culture forward. this is created through their diverse musical programming that caters to the curious with this year’s lineup featuring loek frey, woody92, peachlyfe, hewan aman, hannah d, sunju hargun, martinou, sybil, shjva, reptant and more alongside a packed arts and activities programme. 

so welcome to the world of kune festival. 

for the first edition of this takeover we have berlin-via-denmark dj and promoter tania just, one of the co-founders of the esteemed party series, fandango. moving to berlin in 2014, tania was introduced to the playful sensibilities and spirited mindset of the city’s nightlife scene. finding her crew who showed her the ropes and all that the city had to offer, tania cut her teeth in the local scene by attending the legendary cocktail d’amore parties at the shuttered griessmuehle, learning everything she needs to know about this new world she was being introduced to. drawing from these influences, tania is known for sleazy basslines, dreamy vocals, and cheeky twists that blur the lines between ‘90s house, early tech house, and progressive cuts.

since moving to berlin, she has gone on to run the gorgeous fandango parties alongside dave murrin and mark gill, which has quickly become a cornerstone in the local scene. i ended up at one of their parties spontaneously a few summers ago, arriving early in the morning to catch ccl warming things up for the day ahead and it was one of my fondest memories of that season, dancing throughout the day and exploring all the cute little nooks their unique location has to offer (kindred spirits with kune perhaps?) 

speaking about kune, this year, tania played the serene beach stage and touching on her relationship with the festival, she says, “i love kune! i first went 4 years ago, and it really opened my eyes to a more open-minded and diverse side of denmark that i had never experienced before. i met a lot of people there who today are close friends of mine, so it meant a lot to be invited to play this year.”

it always feels like a special day when there’s a new razrbark mix hitting the web, like a rare delicious sweet treat being gifted to us all. i’m not sure when i first discovered razrbark, perhaps a few years ago as it feels like we’ve been connected online forever (but who can keep track of time these days?), however, the day that i did was like unearthing a hidden gem. based in new york, razrbark has an approach to djing that comes from years of dedication to the dancefloor & being raver first and foremost. there’s a heat to her mixes that come from the warm glow of the tracks that she selects, the sludgy pace that allows you to practice patience and savour every bite, absorbing the mystical kinetic energy that is channeled through every record. from her contributions to ccl’s subglow, down2earth and distant signals mix series, the esoteric the lot radio sessions to the live recordings from iconic gigs such as the much-loved honcho campout and sorry records at bossa nova civic club, there’s a lot to sink your teeth into. 

another contribution to the world of razrbark, her 909 mix starts of humid with a chugging energy that comes with tracks slowed all the way down before flowing into an otherworldly selection of dreamy, acidic techno, creating a light respite from the steamy intro before ending on a grungy note. you can hear the references from one of razrbark’s key influences, buffy the vampire slayer. if the bronze booked djs, this is what they would play.

a renowned producer and dj, known for delivering timeless & classy house music that has resulted in a recognisable ‘århus sound’ and making the city one of the vibrant when it comes to grassroots underground music. a man with many hats, c.k runs the prs record label, the vinyl distribution outlet safe distribution, the self-released safe radio output where c.k dives deeper into his record collection to show the full breadth of his influences and music that he’s loving at the moment (the most recent show was over 5 hours!) and has garnered a cult following as well as releasing tracks under various monikers (including his work with 2 bit crew and as part of the regelbau collective). a complete dedication to his craft and music as a whole, as you’ll discover when reading through the interview below, noting music is his main source of inspiration, “it comes in all forms”.

this week we’re spotlighting another århus gem and safe distro affiliate, alpo. previously working under the alias ‘the interest’, alpo is another one of those artists who unearths the most beautiful gems and binds them together in a way that wraps you within a spell. from twinkling, blissful downtempo and ambient to the subterranean elements of old school drum & bass and the immersive and bubbly energy of tech house and electro - his mixes has it all! and his opening set on the vessel stage is no different. starting the proceedings on an early thursday evening, alpo’s set is a playful workout of the sound and styles that make up the festival. bridging together all of his influences to create the perfect party atmosphere, the set is an exercise in long-form euphoria.

“the concept for this mix is ‘healing, patience and then fun’; three things i wasn’t really allowing myself too much of throughout the last three months of this year, outside of some brief magical encounters with new friends scattered throughout.” - georg-i



every now and then a producer enters the world wide chat and unlocks a new pathway, helping you rethink the way certain things(music) are meant to be. bristol-based georg-i is one of those artists. making his debut on yco in 2021 with the epic ‘yco002’ featuring the much-loved ‘body static’, georg-i made his mark from the get go. an artist in the truest sense of the word, georg-i’s music is grand in sound, often powerful club tools that are both wonky and dynamic and so unique in that you can spot one of his tracks coming into a mix or set from a mile away. somewhat earwormy, like ‘stasis’, which felt like it became every djs favourite track but blew you away every time no matter how many times you heard it. then there’s the debut release on ccl’s subglow imprint, ‘rebuild’, that was so deliciously wormholey, i’m not sure there’s anyone else making oddball club tracks like georg-i right now that brings together so many of his influences from punk to the industrial environments he grew up in. last month, georg-i released a collaborative release with lisbon-based lyricist older brother for katiusha’s grace imprint, channeling a slightly different side of his soundscape as he delves into hi-tek bass and trip-hop, injected with gritty vocal poetry. ‘foundations’ sounds like a continuation of ‘torn in two’ from the subglow ep whilst the ep as a whole draws influences from massive attack and samurai music. 

constantly wondering how georg-i consistently makes music this good & otherworldly, we caught up with him to chat about the process behind ‘rebuild’ and ‘warm skin’, his artistic journey and early influences, working with vocals and more.

this week we welcome belgium’s emily jeanne to the 909 podcast series with a mix that is driven both by ritualistic and lightspeed drum workouts. with a rippling undercurrent of psychedelia creating a whirlpool that is both fast and flow, these shifting gears throughout the mix is created with such pace and precision you are left with a hazy dream, trying to unpick the meaning and narratives behind it all. 

born and raised in ghent and now lives in antwerp, emily has previously done stints in paris & berlin, the latter being a city that ended up being an inspiring place in all aspects and a catalyst for a lot of creative projects that exist within her world now. emily made her first step in the electronic music scene around a decade ago when she gained access to cdjs in a local club that her brother was a resident at. locking herself in the space for hours on end to learns the ins and outs of the art of djing plus getting familiar with playing on big soundsystems, emily soon started playing out - first starting with minimal and house records before moving into the soundscapes that still ring true today. connecting with music both as a creative outlet and a refuge for her emotions, this is what drives emily’s approach to her mixes, sets and productions. it was never her intention to approach this as a career but instead her genuine interest, exploration to go deeper into world and narrative building alongside bringing together her different perspectives from working within fashion and her yoga practice, saying “the body movement is opening up a space in my mind for me to fill with music. when I hear music, I feel the need to move, to dance, but it also works the other way,” this has allowed emily to bring a distinctive approach to her artistic practice. 

it was her partner that encouraged emily to start producing which she found difficult at first as she was trying to steer things in the direction she wanted, however, in 2020 she made her production debut and has since landed on labels such as peder mannerfelt produktion, token, air texture and early reflex. taking things a step further, earlier this year emily launched her own label, quỳnh, which was founded on psychedelic club music expressions. the first release on the label, ‘call of the sea’, saw emily take her first step in this new adventurous and ambitious side of her productions which explores half step and drum & bass hypnosis and deep percussive explorations. this was recently followed up by her second ep on the imprint, ‘past through desire’, released earlier this month, which continues these deeper wormholes into the nocturnal realms. to tie in with the release, we speak to emily about the motivation and desires behind launching her own imprint, the process behind making her latest ep, first introductions to music and more.

welcome to the final recording within our collaboration with denmark’s kune festival where we have been sharing the sets and stories from their fifth edition earlier this year - taking a deeper dive into the scenes, sounds and style of the festival.

for the fifth edition, we’re showing swedish artist martinou’s stunning live set from the space stage. 

my method for writing is that i need to be listening to the music or sets by the subject i’m writing about so here i am working on this intro for martinou’s live set at kune festival whilst lying on my bed in lanzarote feeling like i’m typing up a very vulnerable journal entry because that’s the way martinou’s music makes you feel. regardless of whether i was writing right now or not doesn’t matter, there’s a very particular emotional sensibility to everything that martinou makes. it’s melancholic yet hopeful, there’s a touch of euphoria, lots of moments where you just want to hug your friends, a hint of nostalgia whilst you reminisce about loves past and present - it leaves you wondering what the story is behind the music. how does martinou create music this beautiful? i’m honestly knocked for six every time i hear his music and this live set is no different. speaking about the experience of performing at kune festival this year, martinou says, “on the Space stage, everything aligned. the music met the concrete, the light rain, the people. opening the festival there didn’t just feel like a regular time slot, more like the start of something grander” and this feeling floats within the live recording too. 

there’s much to be inspired by living in sweden from the intensity of the forests, the vast open waters to the juxtaposition of the light and darkness in the northern landscapes and the regional folklore. i’ve previously interviewed martinou, for draaimolen’s podcast series with mama snake, and we spoke about how the environment and changing of seasons informs the music that is made by artists based in scandinavia and how this evolves throughout the year. making his official production debut in 2014, martinou has landed on record labels such as nous’klaer audio, turbo recordings, melifera records, and mule musiq alongside co-running the sewer sender record label, which came to an end this year with the stunning release of infinita series by eletun selona. the label was a home for his own productions alongside fellow artists like eletun and nokato nomer, among others. there’s a lot of beauty and mystical stories to envelope yourself in as you take a wonder into martinou’s world but if you would like to start somewhere, his albums ‘rift’ and ‘chiral’ on nous’klaer are a good place to start as they showcase martinou’s depth and delicate balance between house and techno. let martinou’s music take you in with a warm embrace.

a special live recording from paris-based collective sarcus soundsystem from their DIY party earlier this year at corcoran’s in paris, porte des lilas. a driving selection of wormhole techno, psychedelic drums and tripped-out rhythms - it’s a kaleidoscope of the collective’s melting pot of influences. 

sarcus soundsystem is made up of ubik, jacky jeane and olga b. who met through the eponym festival which was held in yearly in france and came to an end in 2022. the trio gathered around it’s energy, values and music, coming together via their love for of the modern sides of electro, bass music and techno with a hypnotic tinge. since forming as sarcus soundsystem, they have played across france and brussels alongside the likes of zohar, beatrice m., andy martin, darwin, mary lake, interstellar funk, toma kami, lena willikens, amor satyr, to name a few.

another special live recording this week from paris-based dj fatale furylax who delivers her live recording from this year’s edition of fata morgana festival. playing in front of this many people for the first time, fatale furylax reflects on the desire to play safe in their artistic statement about the set, something they felt during the set, however, looking back they’re happier with the outcome. a true reflection of the internal rollercoaster that happens whilst you’re djing. it’s a dizzying journey through moody, confronting low end rhythms. 



fatale furylax is part of the de la… je l’espère collective and record label, alongside trois-quarts taxi system, damna, hupslyon, marco del bosque and dj beemo, where they have released records from no sir, seta loto, cwtch as well as compilations curated by the residents. an art director and graphic designer, fatale furylax is a co-cordinator at la station - gare des mines’ in-house radio station, aptly titled station station radio and as part of de la… je l’espère, they host a bi-monthly show on gimic radio.

“This set was on the last night, after spending the whole festival supervising the ambient tent, which I had the pleasure of curating this year. I hadn’t had a chance to dance all weekend, and I had so much energy built up that needed to go somewhere. Finally, I got to channel it into the mix, and I must say, it was probably the highest-energy set I’ve played this year?

My slot was sandwiched between trance fam Auratekh and Sybil, so it genuinely felt like playing with friends. The FM pub tent is the place to get a bit loose and dance, so for this one, I leaned into the more energetic side of prog and psy, revisiting a few 90s gems I hadn’t played in a while.” - TSUNIMAN 

we’re looking back at this year’s edition of field maneuvers for another live recording this week, this time from london-based, switzerland-born artist TSUNIMAN. gracefully imprinted in the local london scene, TSUNIMAN excels in worldbuilding, bridging together the old and new to create these narratives for her audience to get lost in. casting a spell on those who witness her sets, they tend to be filled with euphoria, spacey delights and lots of quiet moments for reflecting. in this set for FM, TSUNIMAN is in the fast lane, going full turbo mode. 

a fellow resident on london’s hub, netil radio, with the monthly Плазма (PLASMA) show where she invites guests to either go back-to-back with her or take over the full slot, most often platforming those who are emerging. her guests have included dj wiggles, rbi, celestial, neurotrancer, annx, dogheadsurigeri, and henderson to name a few. alongside this, she has guested on international radio stations such as kiosk radio, rinse fm and den anden side. her dj sets have seen her play at renowned spots across the world, including becoming a resident at klub verboten, as well as performances at refractor festival, unfold, ohm, the white holel, hutte in the forest, goodness, everybody trance and waterworks.

Om Unit brings back his influential Acid Dub series for the third set of remixes - this time inviting the likes of Dubrunner, Beatrice M., Daniel Avery, Bok Bok, Piezo and more. It's only fitting that Tunisian artist Azu Tiwaline is invited into the fold for this series - a producer who has been on the rise for the last five years through her dub-inflected productions that merge with her Saharan roots. The slowness and psychedelic nature of the Sahara is present on her remix of 'Tapped' - a track that oozes and melts with every drop of sound, getting lost in the mirage.

“this mix explores the binaries of 150-160bpm. i’ve been really into cinematic ambient elements recently, so i thought i’d set the tone with a vocal piece from myself over some spacey spooky layers. i’ve been loving exploring how two tracks of the same bpm can bring you into a completely different headspace. from something heads down and chuggy, to fast dancing and over-stimulating (in the best way). i also haven’t done a mix like this before, so wanted to create something a little different to my usual output.” - Beaabea 

a call from outer space. alien-like transmissions that swirl into warm crawling soundscapes - enter the world of london-via-nottingham artist beaabea. 

born in nottingham but now based in london, beaabea has immersed herself in the city’s ever-changing musical landscape. from her early experiences of going to big pop arena shows and growing up in a musical household, beaabea (real name billie) instantly knew that music was something that she wanted to be involved in. at first this involvement was with bands and having one of her bucket list goals come true when she was part of her friend’s band, supporting easy life at their nottingham arena show. following that, billie says she had to chase all the things she thought she wanted to realise where she truly belongs, and that is her beaabea project. 

in the short while that her beaabea project has been in existence, billie is establishing herself as a standout voice in the underground music scene. from her debut single contribution to ema’s woozy imprint to her most recent ep release, ‘chrome abyss’ on amity, billie is carving out her artistic voice whilst as a dj she’s being booked at renowned london venues such as fold, corsica studios, mot and more. billie is also the founder of how did it get so long? (HDIGSL?) - a party, radio show, and mix series platforming women and gender-nonconforming djs with the aim to push for greater representation in electronic music.

London-based label beam records returns with a new EP from enigmatic friend of the label, mystery sister. Oozing with playful psychedelia, the 'Silkworm' EP basks in the afterglow as it explores 'turn-of-the-millennium tek haus and mnml'. On the Sunrise Mix of 'Of The Mind', the track does it exactly what it says on the tin. A warm and silky track for those blossoming early hours where the sun starts to peak through the landscape, creating a beautiful hue on those around you.

London-based imprint Osmura returns with their second compilation series, 'Transient Glow'. Flowing through bass, dubstep and techno, the compilation features new tracks by the likes of Gillielove, Andrae Durden, Prieste5s, Ila Brugal, Viiaan and lastly our premiere, ophélie who rounds off the release beautifully with a deeply emotional track. Drawing from elements of dub, ambient, prog and techno, ophélie's 'Drosera' feels like a mirage, a hazy memory filled with emotion that captures you within its spell. It feels like a desert-island track.

i wanted to make a mix that would be a representative snapshot of what i am really into at the moment. deep, heady music, sometimes intense, melancholic, but always rolling and forward pushing.” 

entering the deep kaleidoscopic world of human space machine. 

based in the netherlands, human space machine is a dj and producer who made his production debut in 2018 and has quickly become a go-to artist for his swirling psychedelic records that bring together functional techno grooves, progressive delights and introspective melodies. over the years, he has released or contributed to labels such as nous’klaer audio, on board music, a-biotic, qilla records, indigo aera, sohaso, re:st and de lichting - the label he co-founded. 

his first introduction to music towards the end of primary school was through breakdancing and listening to hip-hop. from there human space machine started to pull together mixes for school performances and discovered the art of djing. the rabbit hole went further, diving deep into the realms of electro and his fascination with drum computers and synthesizers began. this curiosity that was explored during his school years is still relevant today as human space machine continues to develop his artistic practice through his live sets and collaborations. originally starting with the de lichting collective and performing improvised live sets, human space machine is currently working on a new edition of his solo live sets after debuting at nous’klaer festival in june last year. alongside this, he has started a new platform and release series with sunju hargun (the first ep is out now) plus an upcoming release on midgar records and much more. 

human space machine is one of our favourite producers who’s tracks we can’t stop rinsing so we’re very excited to welcome him to untitled 909 this week with a stunning mix and an in-depth interview talking about the process behind his live sets and recent collaborations, the early days of hip-hop and breakdancing influences, how the netherlands has inspired him and much more. dig in!

“this time i really enjoyed making the mix because it’s the first one i’ve ever done entirely at 160 bpm. it’s an ode to that tempo, and i wanted to bring together complex rhythms that show not only how versatile it can be, but how experimental it can get. i tried to break away from the traditional four-on-the-floor, which can feel overwhelming at that speed, and instead lean into broken patterns where there’s more space to play and get intricate.” 

setting the scene in bogotá this week with the fearless producer brenda who’s behind one of my favourite tracks this year, ‘fetchhh (oddball roller)’, plus an ep on tratratrax featuring a collaborative track with verraco and an additional contribution to the label via their annual no pare, sigue sigue compilation series. brenda is the club alias of mav nuhels, an experimental music project that has so far released two studio albums through various emotional landscapes. via his brenda alias, mav embraces the modern idea of “plunder-techno” - a collage of traditional latin rhythms, encompassing dembow, cumbia, djembe and guaracha, interspersed with variations of bass music, while incorporating noise textures close to idm and club music. whilst under his real name, mav explores different territories, allowing himself to dive deeper into his influences with his first ambient record to be released soon.

“back in september, it was the last days of summer and this gig came perfectly on time with where i was musically as an artist. the whole summer i spent my days diving into dubby sound and this special atmospheric layer that makes it magical the more you dance to it, the more you hear it. when the collective æther asked me to open their party with a 4-hour set before artists that i really admire, notte infinita (live) & jan loup it came quite intuitively to build it. it was the first time for me to play that long and i knew that i wanted something that was building up slowly and with each track that made sense to me and to this beautiful summer i spent discovering. i think this set kind of waves through every type of sounds that resonates the most with myself at that time and hearing it back feels like a journey full of introspective sunny memories ending to enter another season.”

a gorgeous contribution from belgium’s emerging artist, su:zy, to round off another wonderful year of untitled 909. i first connected with su:zy in the summer following my back-to-back with annx for my spiralling, naturally show on netil radio. su:zy shared the mix and from there we followed each other & naturally connected via the music we were sharing on socials. we then met in brussels when i went to play for horst club and i was instantly drawn in by his super warm energy and pure curiosity & passion when it comes to music, sharing stories of recent dancefloor experiences and what we were excited about for the weeks ahead. these are qualities that i’m sure will resonate with you when you listen to su:zy’s contribution to the 909 mix series - an almost 4-hour live recording from a gig earlier this year. starting with dream-like ambient, the set bubbles and whirls through glorious dubby delights and slinky techno to melt into. 

part of the gimic radio team, su:zy recently made his mark on the local scene as a dj. playing at notable venues across belgium including funke, bodies in space and club capital plus an upcoming debut at horst club early next year, su:zy also hosts a radio residency on gimic called synæ .˚○ • ° where it edition explores a different colour or texture, explaining “synæ is about this neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory leads to the experience of another.” 

only a year or so in, we’re super excited to see where su:zy is headed! his ability to craft beautiful worlds and stories for listeners and dancers to immerse themselves in is incredible. to understand more about his journey so far, we chat to su:zy about early influences, the story behind this live recording, what he connects with most about being an artist, and the current scene in belgium which is currently facing huge issues with multiple recent venue closures but a bubbling diy scene. enjoy! x

Berlin-based artist, label founder, and promoter Marlon Hoffstadt is back after the brilliant release of his debut album ‘Planet Love’. Exploring Trance and Eurodance both musically and also philosophically, ‘Planet Love’ felt perfectly timed as its joyous melodies and spoken proverbs such as “take care, give love, because only love will set you free” allowed for a moment of positivity and hope.

Breaker Breaker label boss Haider makes his welcomed return with ‘Endless Clouds’ EP. Previously making his name through his achievements as a label owner, party promoter and discovering talent such as Ross From Friends and The Colours That Rise, it’s time for Haider to step to the forefront with his incredible sleek productions. 

Releasing the first EP under his own name in 2018 on Breaker Breaker, Haider made his debut on Aus Music last year with ‘10961’. Now with ‘Endless Clouds’, Haider continues to showcase his dynamic production ability, drawing inspiration for his surrounding environment. With his ever-evolving sound, the latest project spans across Miami bass, aquatic grooves of Drexicya, 90s house and luscious electro beats on today’s single ‘Maracuja’.

IMOGEN returns to Sunil Sharpe’s Earwiggle imprint, this time with Ben Pest for their first full release together, ‘Volts’, out today. Over the four tracks, the pair showcase their diverse style as crossover the realms of raw techno and UK hardcore, channeling volcanic energy. ‘Shibooty’ is a perky take on Chi-town techno with cartoonish vocal sequences, humming bass and elevated funk levels. It’s a groover!

IMOGEN is a resident at NTS and fabric and has previously released on femme culture, HE.SHE.THEY, Lobster Theremin amongst others. Bristol-based artist Ben Pest has collaborated with Radioactive Man, made appearances on Off Me Nut, Riot Radio Records, and Asking For Trouble and released under the OverworX moniker.
