For our next Novelcast, Warrnambool resident A-well delivers 60 minutes of energetic house. The DJ/producer is an active member of his local scene, recently co-founding Section 12, a space for aspiring DJs to publish and promote DJ mixes. Plans are also in motion for the brand to host events and allow aspiring artists to play in a live environment. A-well is a promising producer too with pending releases planned for the not too distant future. Featuring artists from Djoko to Artmann and Wud-X, this buoyant mix should brighten up any day.

JOVE is an up-and-coming techno house music producer from Melbourne. Despite being at the ripe young age of 19, JOVE is quickly making a name for himself. He started out producing pop music, however, soon found a passion for deeper dance projects. 

Covid hasn’t stopped JOVE one bit… he kicked 2020 off with the release of his metanoia/djange EP, along with his single ‘night alone’, which gained well-deserved attention from leading artists in this genre. 

Following these successful releases, Barcelona record label; Area Verde, contacted JOVE to release a future EP. From this, JOVE’s Acid Facial EP was born. It swiftly reached a chart topping position of 11 on beatport and gained rapid recognition from many Spotify curators.

We are excited to have JOVE involved in this weeks’ creatures guest, and just as excited to see how his music career progresses.

Gold Haus resident Ricky Nord is known for his high-energy sets across many of Melbourne’s club and festival dancefloors. Affecting melodies, driving kick drums and trancey breakdowns are all hallmarks of a vintage Ricky Nord set. He boasts a musical upbringing rooted in an eclectic mix of techno, breaks and trance, and his inspirations derive from an equally diverse list of acts ranging from Ejeca and FJAAK, to Trym and Tommy Holohan. For this mix, the Melbourne DJ submitted an energetic selection of banging trance and old-school classics that should clear out any remaining lockdown cobwebs.
