Basically seen as a little teaser for first sounds from the upcoming LP, 
he presented the “snippets out of control” as an whole release: “EXISTED.live Tool Edition”. 
Followed by the official “EXISTED.live” album release 2 weeks later.

Now let ́s turn the focus to the other side. Straight ahead for what is coming up. 2017 starts with a firework full of new sounds, new artists and new impressions.

With an Original Mix as a point of reference, the waving sounds gets channeled by the remixer and leads us unmistakable to their own interpretation of existing / living in 5D.

Our first release of 2017 sees another new artist making his debut on UNT. Monophaze comes to us with only a handful of previous releases and 'Beyond Home' makes a big statement for things to come from this young Italian producer.

The Original Mix of 'Beyond Home' is a perfect set opener with its ambient pads that soak through the whole audio spectrum and builds increasingly throughout, adding new percussion layers and a very simple yet effective chord stab hook that slices through all the surrounding sounds. This is a track that can really set the pace of a set.

Apollo / R&S are proud to present a compilation album of a series of classic EPs of timeless vibes and lush percussive excursions from overlooked Japanese innovator Mr YT AKA Yuji Takenouchi.

The 'Brand New Day’, ‘Southern Paradise’ and ‘Parfum’ Eps were originally released between 1997 - 1998 on Apollo Records and R&S sub-labels Generations and Global Cuts.

Over the intervening years, the EPs' heady blend of atmospheric pressure, balmy pads and deep grooves has percolated, gathering fans across the globe, to the point where original copies are in high demand on the secondhand market.

Created in the late 90s on a hardware set up of Roland Super Jupiter, Roland JV1080, Roland D550, Yamaha TX81Z and Akai S1100, Takenouchi was burning with inspiration from the sounds of Ron Trent and Chez Damier, Basic Channel, House of 909, Ian Pooley and Carl Craig.

A video game musician by profession, Takenouchi was used to producing music for specific scenes / sequences - starting from scratch had him baffled. Deciding to set a theme or concept for each EP proved to be the breakthrough he needed, a day of new environment for 'Brand New Day’, yin and yang for  'Southern Paradise’ and imaginary fragrances for ‘Parfum'. Looking at pictures related to each of these themes helped to fuel his creativity while producing.

From the sun dappled balearic haze of opener ‘Morning’ to the blissed out bump of ‘Afternoon’, the gauzy euphoria of ‘Ocean In Heaven’ to the cosmic funk pulse of ‘Regard’, the music contained in the 'Brand New Day’ compilation remains as timely and relevant as the day it was released and should see Mr. YT appreciated alongside the likes of the US and European producers who first inspired him.

We get to premiere the title track ‘Live Right Now'. This one is the softer and little more melodic of the 2 tracks. We say little, but it opens with a sound that feels like a hundred Viking ships are approaching. Feel the darkness! Over time it changes to a more groovy & juggernaut rhythm with a driving bass and uplifting elements.

Faded Void was invited to make a guest mix after a very successful debut in Ministry of Techno: Showcase Coventry. He was closing the stage - people absolutely loved his up lifting fast techno.

Faded Void is the alias of Coventry DJ & Producer Daniel Brooks. The project mentioned above was started in 2016 with his newly opened record label One Thousand Wires Audio. All his tracks are released by his own record label. Currently Daniel is working with  John Normans UNT Records & Phutek’s Layer 909. Records are coming out soon !
