When I think of deswide (Listen! https://soundcloud.com/deswide), I think of fast, cute, breaks, and bangers. I knew that NATSUME ATTACK! was going to be fast, and I was really excited to play a whole bunch of stuff that I normally don't craft with. There were a few tracks in particular I knew des loved, so I wanted to make sure I included those. I also took the chance to play some tracks from producers that he's exposed to me over the years. Following deswide's dive into the depths of JCORE has exposed me to an incredible community filled to the brim with amazing music!

Birthdays are a special time, and personally I like to use it as a chance for reflection.  I crafted with the intent to show a bit of the passage of time, both through song selection and set progression. The song titles actually do a surprising job of illustrating it too! 

It's kind of crazy to think that I've been listening to deswide for years now, from his earliest streams to the absolutely legendary sets he's dropping now (not to mention CD promo mixes!!). Not only an amazing DJ, but an outstanding individual.  Incredibly thankful for the invite to play, and even more grateful to have such an amazing friend in music. Take it easy my dude.

In 2022, July 30th shifted into July 31st as I enjoyed all of Helsinki's rich culture, and shared otaku tunes with many.

Few hours after serving my set at Neonya's venue, me and my friends  @dj_lolilili and Hyperion booked a Uber to zoom through the streets of Helsinki, and ventured deep into a convention venue.
Not just any venue, but the largest RPG & Tabletop convention ever: Ropecon. They had my Anime Jersey mix on stream one year prior, and now invited me over for a live set.

There, in the deep dark dungeon, remnants of the con goers partied the night away, dancing like there was no tomorrow.
This is the rapid-paced set that I dished out on no less than 3x Pioneer CDJs, the fastest mix I've ever done on a real venue so far.
This event was not streamed nor officially recorded, I owe Hyperion for holding my phone for the 45 minutes, hence why this is a "secret set" that wasn't meant to see daylight.
