Autumn UNUM 2019: 4 Years ONE: "a quick rope while she's away"

a personal favorite from our first year at Ambush Studios that displays UNUMs range when starting with nothing more than an agreed upon key, a reverb soaked guitar loop and a basic progreasion that (shockingly) doesn't change trajectory drastically but stays locked in yet still dancing around the outskirts of the main "theme" almost until the very end.

a great example of starting off at "10" - you'd think this was a Floyd cover by a band you saw open for Tortoise in 99 but they only put out 1 EP and disappeared... The intense minor key improv collapses to what I named the "phantom" jam after playback of this rehearsal in 2019 - the instrumentation is so sparse and so intentional - everyone is making their dissonant 4 notes per 3rd measure count. Ying and then Yang. Oh, and we were still having Mr. Burroughs offer his wisdom in some of our tunes like this wild demo. Enjoy.   **the next one is the polar opposite of this but its a weirdo distant cousin and recorded only a month apart.- its a doozy.

I held out on firing all the Rambo gattling gun jams right off the bat but here ya go: this one's for Charlie. now it's just slow and low over Ho-Chi-Min city... as we drop sonic mustard ropes simultaneously.
