In his studio he focusses mainly on the production of bochka and other east block influenced sounds but is also no stranger to the fast sounds of schranz or the heavy beats of industrial hardcore. This makes him a DJ that is able to play almost any timeslot of the night but he will always prefer to be one of the closing acts so he can unleash his true creative freedom.

CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

RIJA: The techno scene in the Netherlands holds many talented artists and there are many different styles. This constantly pushes me to improve and evolve as an artist.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

RIJA: My goal was to make a set that sounds relentless combined with dark undertones, I think I achieved just that. One of the challenges was making sure that the energy remained high while incorporating my dark signature sound.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

RIJA: Ever since I started DJing I have always been drawn to the darker side of techno. After a lot of trial and error, I'm now confident in my track selection and know exactly what I want to showcase in my sets.
