People often ask me what my favourite dance tracks of all time are, and it's always a difficult question to answer, because most of the time it depends on how I am feeling on that particular day. 
More often than not, 'I Want Your Love' by CHIC is one that comes to mind. It was one of the very first 12" singles I bought (I was 14 years old). 
Now...I know this track has been remixed, remodelled, remade, and re-edited a hundred times. There are versions that I absolutely love, especially the Dimitri From Paris version from a couple of years ago, and of course the Moodymann version from the mid 90's. 
I initially wanted to just do Part 1, but every time I got to a certain point I just wanted to hear THAT whole riff! So, I ended up doing this.

Rising up from poverty, Jones spent his early musical career playing trumpet with big band swing legend Count Basie, and worked as a young arranger for jazz greats like Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie. He went on to learn classical composition in Paris under Nadia Boulanger, whilst living across the street from Picasso.

Jones became one of the first ever Black music executives signed to a US record label, and over the course of his career, his vision for transmuting musical talent into enormous pop successes earned him a staggering 28 Grammys, with collaborations spanning icons like Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, and Aretha Franklin, shaping the sounds of jazz, pop, soul, and film.
