I am so delighted at this collaboration with Jim, Dave and Stella who have taken the original track to new heights.  Jim first picked up the original instrumental and created a most excellent and hot electric guitar part for it. Then he showed it to Dave who came up with a sizzling saxophone part that's just off the charts.  We asked Stella if she could mix it altogether and we were lucky she said yes because she did it so brilliantly that I'm still trying to pick my jaw off the floor.  :)

Thank you Jim, Dave and Stella for a great ride! It has been such a pleasure to do this collab with you. :)))

Edie Brickell is a treasure. For those of you who are familiar with her Soundcloud page, you'll know that she posts at least one new song every day and the amazing thing is - they're all great! So one day Shael and I were talking about collaborations and thought - hey wouldn't it be cool to dress up a few of these little songlets that Edie's posted and then surprise her by doing a private share of the resulting tracks? Well, that's exactly what we did. So thanks to Edie for encouraging us to post these little numbers - there's 4 in all, this being the first of them.

haaaizzzt! Feels like a burning candle right now!  it's my fastest song done ever for 7 in 7 1 in one and a half hour...plus a couple of trial recordings which prove to be uneffective...still as noisy as ever...haay! just barely coping people! bare with me 2 more days & 2 more songs to go! =) still hopeful!!!

Here's another track with my good friend Greg Hurley. This one started with my bass, drums and guitar as a funky bed track and Greg provided the lyrics, all vocals, slide guitar and NI horns. I took the solo before the last chorus and Greg did a killer slide solo out. Looking forward to doing lots more with Mr. Hurley!

First of all, which world is this we are referring to here, because there is sure to be a few of them out there I rather not leave any trace of my being here.  Since I have not located anyone who seems to know where they are or are even particularly interested in the subject, I cannot take the chance that soreness is the reason for this disdain for any sort of spacial orientation. For someone who doesn't particularly want his whereabouts to be anyplace anyone has ever heard of, it's a gift that keeps on giving...
so in the spirit of the times and its infinitely novel ways, I will do my best to create a personally customized personality with a unique voice to fit the occasion to satisfy your most unconscious natural drive... in the end all you will recall is that you got lost and ended up adopting a cat that seems to to know what you are going to do before you do.
